USESDow Corning® 3 Additive has been successful in these industrial applications1:

• To provide pigment treatment:Coating Solvent-based wood coating at 0.2-0.5%

• To improve leveling:Coating Solvent-based industrial coating at 0.1-0.2%

HOW TO USEDow Corning 3 Additive is effectiveat low concentrations. The amountrequired depends on type of formu-lation, the solvent it contains, resinsystem and total system solids.Dow Corning 3 Additive is generallyeffective at concentrations rangingfrom 0.05-0.5 weight percent, basedupon total formulation. This addi-tive can be added during the grindor let-down or it can be post-added.Characteristics may vary when usedwith different systems and formu-lations. Dow Corning 3 Additive iscompatible with epoxy and poly-urethane systems. Thoroughpreproduction testing is necessaryto ensure expected performance.

PACKAGINGDow Corning 3 Additive is availablein 4-oz (113-g) samples; 35-lb (15.8-kg)pails and 400-lb (181.4-kg) drums.

STORAGE AND SHELF LIFEWhen stored at or below 30°C(86°F) and above 0°C (-32°F),Dow Corning 3 Additive has a shelflife of 36 months from date ofmanufacture. Refer to productpackaging for “Use By” date.

USE LIMITATIONSThis product is neither tested norrepresented as suitable for medicalor pharmaceutical uses. Not forhuman injection.
