  • Warm Greetings!!

Today we are living in a fast changing complex society,

which presents before us challenges as well as

opportunities. In this context it all depends on every

individual how one responds to the situation with the

right mindset. As it is rightly said, “Nurture your mind

with great thoughts, for you will never go any higher

than you think.” Indeed, we need better education to

have better thoughts, to be better humans, to build a

    better society.

The important thing is to firmly fix our gaze on our

own weaknesses, not run away from them, but to

battle them head-on and establish a solid self that

nothing can sway. Hardships forge and polish our lives,

so that eventually they shine with brilliant fortune and

benefit. If left in its raw, unpolished form, even the

most magnificent gem will not sparkle. The same

    applies to our lives.

We firmly believe that every human being, endowed

with various talents and skills is a precious gift of God.

Let me take this opportunity to thank the parents for

their support and understanding. I am very proud of

the way our students, parents and teachers handled

the demands we were faced with to protect everyone

as we continued to educate and feed our students

during the most unusual of circumstances. In the past

few months, it has become clear that schooling from

home is the new normal for almost every child in the

    world.

Everybody goes through difficult times, but it is those

who push through those difficult times who will

eventually become successful in life. Don't give up,

because this time too shall pass.

    Stay healthy and safe !

Loads of hugs and blessings !

  • Student-teacher relationship is one of the most powerfulelements within the learning environment. This relationship isvery important to have a good communication between teacherand students. A student`s growth is dependent on educators, giving them warmth and sharing their fire and passion forlearning. Here ,at our school, making positive bonds with thestudents has always been the focal point of our teaching-learning process.

Here is what I want, all of you, my dear students, to know whenwe are not together…

#1 You matter, and we miss you: I hope you are all safe andhealthy. We , teachers, miss each and every one of you. Youbring us more joy and happiness than any of you can imagine, and I hope we are together again soon.

#2 Stay safe: The whole purpose of this quarantine time is tokeep as many of us safe and healthy as possible. School isimportant but so is your health. Take care of yourself and eachother. And no matter what happens this year, be proud ofyourself, your resilience, and your ability to adapt to extremecircumstances. I am proud of each one of you.

#3 Be kind to your family: We know being home is tough oneveryone, so now is the time to dig deep and be kind. Be kind toyour siblings. Help them understand the technology they mightneed for school. Set the table and do the dishes. While we areapart, learn with your family—learn some family history with aphoto album.

#4 Investigate your own interests :Being home means schooltime is a lot shorter. I want you to take out the time to figureout what you love and find out more about it. Explore yourareas of interest.

#5 Get creative: One of the best ways to relieve stress anddiscover what matters to you is to get creative. Be creative –doodle , cook or build a model. Put your creativity into work.

#6 Pray daily: I want each one of you to look outside everyday– visit your terrace or balcony and be grateful. Thank god forthis life. Observe nature- look at how beautiful our world is.

#7 Find ways to make a difference: It’s easy to feel helpless insituations like this, but we can make small differences. I hopeyou would lift people up. Please call or text someone (a friend, your grandparent, or a cousin) to say hello. Knowing people areout there, thinking of them, can make all the difference in theworld.

#8 We’ll be here when you get back: We are here for you all.We are far yet approachable. This too shall pass. And we willpick up right where we left off. Don`t you forget, we are anextended family!

    The 7 Day Gratitude Challenge

"Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all the abundance" - ECKHART TOLLE

Gratitude is a feeling that embodies the word “Thank you”. It is an unexpected rewardof a kind deed that is magically produced by your brain. An attitude of gratitude is apositive way of looking at life. It can increase your happiness, teach you to be moreempathetic, and help you to be more thankful for everything you have. As a part oftheir Interdisciplinary Project for the month of July, Grade 5 kids were given 7 DayGratitude Challenge to follow, with an aim to inculcate the feelings of gratefulness andempathy in them. They were given various tasks to perform like creating their owngratitude jars, writing Thank You letters, complimenting others, writing their owngratitude lists and writing about other’s and their own positive traits. The childrenloved taking up these activities as they shared their own happiness with others, acknowledged what they had, and learnt the skill of gratitude.

    E-SURVEY ON EMOTIONAL

    AND SOCIAL HEALTH OF

    PEOPLE AROUND US

In these tough times, when the

    conditions were adverse. The

    environment was unsupportive.

The world was dull and we were

low. The most important role was

    being played by our family

    members, who despite all odds

    always kept us motivated, strong,

    and positive.

Corona has taught us the actual

    meaning and importance of family

    in these times.

    Our young ones have displayed

    their excellent efforts in

    interviewing their family members

    and sharing their experiences in

    these times.

    It is rightly said,

    Every situation, no matter what,

    has something great to teach.

The coronavirus or COVID-19 is inciting panic for a numberof reasons.

The need of the hour is to take all the preventive measuresproperly.

Be reasonable and be cautious, but do not be frightened.

Under the project, ‘Cheshtha’, an E-survey was conducted bygrade V students to test the mental and emotional health oftheir family members amidst this pandemic attack and theresults are not good.

People are being influenced by one another and lettingemotions dictate their behaviour, instead of taking a rationalapproach.

So, to make the people apprise about this disease, acertified online quiz was organized by the school. Thisawareness programme encouraged students, parents, andteachers to collaborate and contribute to the betterment ofthe nation.

    Books quench our thirst for

    knowledge. Through books, we

    learn about how things work,

    understand different cultures,

    and comprehend the history of

things. The right books are full

    of useful information that helps

    us become smarter, sharper,

  • ART- INTEGRATED PROJECT

    SIKKIM

The interdisciplinary project is undertaken to cut across different subjects, bringing together various disciplines into a meaningful association. Theinterdisciplinary method encourages critical thinking and combines different skillsthat are unique to different subjects. More than that, the children can use theseskills in a meaningful context i.e. students construct meaning better when they findpatterns and connections in the learning process and also realize that isolatedlearning is more difficult to process and recall. India is a unique nation thatpresents endless varieties of physical features and cultural patterns. It is the landof many languages and it is only in India, people profess all the major religions ofthe world. In short, India is “the epitome of the world”. Through mutualunderstanding entwined with the shared history, it is the duty of every citizen ofthis country to enable and maintain a special unity in this diversity, which stands outas a tall flame of nationhood.

Our students are an important part of this complex and diverse society. Keepingthat very thought in mind, these activities have been planned, to encourage eachchild to tap into their creative potential while also working towards realizing a deepcultural connection among citizens.
