You can participate month by month. Your Painting Goals: Fill out a supplied short form about your short and long term painting goals. After I receive your goal form, I will email you with a suggested plan. We start each week with a quick Skype chat about your goals for that week’s painting(s). These paintings should be smaller in scale in order to get through more paintings. You will learn more from several small value sketches and color studies instead of a larger painting. Weekly Review of Your Work: Once your work is complete, send me digital images about 1400 pixels in width. Also send photos of your landscape references. I will review in advance of our online conversa- tion and send comments to prepare for our discussion. Online Discussion / Critique: At a scheduled time, we’ll have a 20-30 minute discussion, during which you’ll be able to watch me work on your studies on screen! These critiques will be saved so you can view your paintings “before” and “after” my work on them. Participation can be on a month by month basis and as long as you choose. It doesn’t need to be long term. However, the repeated combinations of your ongoing painting, my review of your work, and our online meetings each week, will help you make steady, significant progress. Repeated, deliberate practice makes the best improvement.
