OUR SPACES

Gandel Hall is a majestic multipurpose space that is sure to make an impression on your guests. The Hall is spacious, light-filled and exquisitely detailed with gold leaf doors and red, iron bark floors. The floor to ceiling windows open onto the Australian Terrace, permitting a stunning outdoor area for events, that features brilliant views of the picturesque Australia Garden and James Turrell’s monumental Skyspace, Within Without.

Gandel Hall can accommodate up to 350 guests for sit down events and 900 guests for cocktail events. It can also be divided into smaller sections for more intimate sized groups.

Eat amongst the art! The National Gallery of Australia has the Level One Foyer available for cocktail parties up to 300 guests from 6pm Monday through to Sunday.

The Gallery Cafe makes a grand impression with its 10-metre-high ceilings and large windows overlooking the Sculpture Garden. The Gallery Café is available from 6pm Monday through to Sunday. It has a capacity of up to 100 guests for seated events and 200 guests for cocktail events.

One of Canberra’s hidden gems. A permanent marquee, allowing for an open air environment, the space is nestled within the botanical splendour of the Gallery’s Sculpture Garden. Showered in natural light, the Sculpture Garden restaurant overlooks the mystic views of Fujiko Nakaya’sdistinguished Fog sculpture, which releases a fine ethereal mist.Sculpture Garden Pavilion can accommodate up to 80 guests for seated events and 140 guests for cocktail events.

The James O Fairfax Theatre is perfect for lectures, seminars, presentations, movie screenings and acoustic concerts. It features comfortable tiered seating and quality acoustic design. The James O Fairfax Theatre accommodates 267 seated guests.

Underground paid parking is available via Parkes Place off King Edward Terrace. The above ground car park off Bowen Drive is available for parking on weekends only. Please visit http://nga.gov.au/visiting for full parking details at the Gallery.
