YMCA CAMP MASON 2016 ANNUAL REPORT ANYWHERE FROM HERE
STRONGER TOGETHER Working together to strengthen our communities
Dear Friends,
The back page of our 2017 Summer Camp Guide has a quote from A.A. Milne, spoken by the venerable Winnie the Pooh- “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying good-bye so hard.” To us, this quote neatly sums up the YMCA Camp Mason experience, and why we all keep coming together to lend our time, talents, and treasures to the organization that has meant so much to all of us.
Children and families come year-round to Camp Mason to experience
new challenges, to spend quality family-time together; sometimes as
part of a school group to pursue outdoor academic subjects, and
sometimes because their parents came to camp and want their kids
to experience Camp Mason. The common thread that binds all of the
10,000+ people who come to camp every year, though, is the lasting
relationships they build. The end of any camp session always brings
hugs, tears, and promises to talk soon. It is in support of these
lifelong friendships that the Camp Mason Board of Trustees and
staff work every day, and for which we count on you to help.
Together, we truly do make a difference. Thank you.
Tom Mason, Chair, Board of Trustees Keith VanDerzee, CEO
