    Service of both players showed lack of practice. Henninger's though clean and atraight had no power. Lea's first ball flashed through the air, usually landing in the net. However, the second ball was true enough. Occasionally, Henninger scored a point by placement, and Lea retaliated with a few warm shots. But for the most part, the game was slow and tedious. .

    Nichols and Lea will face each other In the final round next week. Both are experienced players. Nichols advanced from the ankle of the ladder to second plaCe, by defeating Henninger.
