beautiful ballads of his own writing. He is well know for his
magical rapport with audiences of all ages. Gove toured with
fellow agency artists Delbert McClinton and Jimmy Buffett and
the Original Coral Reefer Band. His recordings are filled with a
litany of star talent including Dolly Parton, Iris Dement, Glen
Campbell, Nancy Griffith, Emmy Lou Harris and Doc Watson

Mindy Simmons: Mindy Simmons is
fondly referred to by her Florida fans as
the "Sarasota Songbird". She brings a
fresh perspective and sound to the folk
scene with her insightful lyrics and
creative arrangements that, though
they may sound familiar, have
unexpected twisted that are reflective
of a writer with years of creative
expression to draw from. Mindy will be
joined by her vocal compadres, The Hot
Pockets (Lisa Bohn and Annie Murphy).
Ed Kinder will accompany Mindy and
the Hot Pockets adding his seasoned
piano playing and tasty mandolin chops. Website: http://www.mindysimmons.com/
Roy Schneider: Roy Schneider is an award-winning
songwriter who has performed all over the United
States, United Kingdom and other parts of Europe in
the few years since ending his nationally syndicated
comic strip "The Humble Stumble". He has twice been a
finalist in the Kerrville Folk Festival's Grassy Hill New Folk
competition and is preparing to release his fourth
studio album in the Spring of 2012.
"While the world is littered with singer/songwriters,
Schneider is a cut above the hordes... Sometimes he
sounds like he's auditioning for Little Feat (he'd get in,
too), sometimes he's light and jazzy and sometimes he's
a proper acoustic rocker. All the time he's interesting,
with the changes of pace keeping the listener on their
toes, not least in wondering how he manages to be
good at it all." ~Maverick Magazine, UK
"Roy Schneider's rootsy songs contain a mix of blues,
country, folk and Americana all rolled into a beguiling
and tasty stew. ~Blues Matters! Magazine.

OUR OTHER STELLAR PERFORMERS ARE:
Arvel Bird: Arvel Bird, a violinist and Native American flutist, is known
around the world for his dramatic connection between Celtic
and Native American traditions, stirring up scenes that echo from
North American memory. Dubbed “Lord of the Strings” by fans and
music critics, his music evokes the soul of North American history and is
thoroughly entertaining, but also enlightening and humanizing. In a
language and experience that captures the hearts of all audiences,
he’s emotional without being condescending, intellectual without
being pretentious. One measure of any art form is when the medium is
so mastered that it becomes transparent, allowing its message to be
seen, heard and felt. Arvel Bird has achieved that mastery.

with Jean Ray, and they performed and recorded music from
the early 1960s to the late 1960s. Jim and Jean were married for
a time, and were listed as Jim and Jean Glover in the liner notes
of their albums, but eventually went their separate ways. Jim
attended Ohio State University, where he met Phil Ochs in the
Fall of 1959 and introduced Ochs to folk music, Leftist politics,
and taught him how to play guitar. Glover introduced Ochs to

VonRonk, Hugh Blumenfeld and Mark Dan. You can buy

performing separately or in often cases together. Everyone
in the coop would often play together on each other’s

at this time when his wife passed away and was left with two small children to raise. Years

repertoire of original music which consists of a unique combination of
Americana, bluegrass, and folk.

Passerine: Passerine’s distinctive sound combines
vocal harmonies, the ringing tones and crisp rhythms
of an acoustic guitar, the haunting voices of the
fiddle and dobro (resonator slide guitar), the
resonant lows of an acoustic bass. With this unusual
arrangement of voices and instruments, Passerine
offers a fresh take on traditional folk and bluegrass
music as well as a repertoire of original songs that
range from sweet ballads to the edgier side of
contemporary Americana.
Carmela Pedicini and Tanya Radtke are both
established singer/songwriters who have each
been leading successful bands in recent years,
both developing a substantial following.
Together, their harmonies have been described as “magical.” As Passerine, they have
added David Brain's dobro, for accents that can go from sweet and melodic to a bluesy
moan, from the old time mountain sound to more contemporary urban folk and rock. Sara
Stovall plays the fiddle in a style that reflects both her formal training in music with her roots in
the musical traditions of western Kentucky. She also adds a third voice to the inventive vocal
harmonies. David Baker provides a solid foundation with his tasteful and creative approach
to the bass. Altogether, the members of Passerine have joined their talents in search of an
acoustic sound that is simple and compelling, that has both purity and depth, and that adds
new musical layers to the tradition of the singer/songwriter.

harmonies of Simon & Garfunkel meet the guitar
brilliance of the Gipsy Kings.”
13 years of non-stop touring has honed this
classically trained duo into legendary
performers, dubbed “the hardest working folk
duo in America”. Having just released their 15th CD Terra Guitarra, Dragonfly, Patchouli is as
busy in the studio as they are on the road, with 11 CD’s featuring their very own brand of
original modern folk music and 4 CD’s under the name Terra Guitarra for their all instrumental
Spanish style guitar project.

Carolyn for a whole bunch of years now. We’re really

Carolyn: "As a child I had classical piano lessons for 8
years. When I got to my teenage years I started
playing guitar. I remember as a young teenager, my cousins playing in a band. I wanted to
be just like them. Then much later, I sang at a karaoke event. From then on I was hooked on
the music scene and started going to music jams playing guitar and singing. Then was asked
to play in a band and perform on a regular basis. From then on I have been performing live
as a solo act, duo act and with bands."
