Choose from the Reading Menu (see attached) what type of jot you would like to do about your book.No matter what type of jot you choose, here’s your checklist for success:

- Don’t choose the same type of jot twice in one week.- Use text evidence to support your ideas.- Write the title, date, and H (for home) at the top of your notebook page.

Writing Finish your essay from school and/or write a new literary essay. (Altogether you must write at least a page and a half tonight).

Use the opinion writing checklist to set a goal for your writing tonight (Literary essays are a type of opinion writing because you’re giving your idea about the character).
