Entrance Procession Text: Delores Dufner (vv1-2) and Robert Carroll (v3)

Urged by love we work as one in Christ, God’s Ser-vants hand in hand

Shap-ing minds, and sow- ing seeds of peace and jus- tice through the land.

With our found-ers’ dream of mis- sion, we walk on with great de- light

To a life of new- found vi- sion and Church of new-found sight.

We now bow be- fore our found- ers, like stars to guide our way

On a jour- ney bright and boun-ti-ful, God bless-es us this day! 17

Opening Prayer

Liturgy of the Word

Lectura I — Amós 7:12-15

‘Ve y profetiza a mi pueblo, Israel’ ”.

Responsorial Psalm — Psalm 85

Reading II — Ephesians 1:3-14

Blessed be the God and Parent of our Lord Jesus Christ,

who has blessed us in Christ

with every spiritual blessing in the heavens,

as God chose us in Christ, before the foundation of the world,

to be holy and without blemish before the Divine-Self.

In love God destined us for adoption through Jesus Christ,

in accord with the favor of God’s will,

for the praise of the glory of God’s grace

granted us in the beloved.

In Christ we have redemption by his blood,

the forgiveness of transgressions,

in accord with the riches of God’s grace that God lavished upon us. In

all wisdom and insight, God has made known to us

Let us

(French) That the sick and dying, the poor and homeless,

the addicted and lost, may find, in our help and

compassion, the restoring love of Christ the Healer.

Nous prions...

R. O God our Guide, hear our prayer.

(English) That those on whose shoulders we stand

especially Mary Lange, Theresa Maxis Duchemin, Louis

Florent Gillet, and all the deceased sisters of our

congregations may be beacons of light pointing us to new

journeys and new missions proclaiming together the Good

News of Jesus the Christ. We pray…

the mystery of the Divine will in accord with God ’s favor

that was set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of times,

to sum up all things in Christ, in heaven and on earth.

In Christ we were also chosen,

destined in accord with the purpose of the One

who accomplishes all things according to the intention of the Divine will,

so that we might exist for the praise of God’s glory,

we who first hoped in Christ.

In Christ you also, who have heard the word of truth,

the gospel of your salvation, and have believed in him,

were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,

which is the first installment of our inheritance

toward redemption as God’s possession, to the praise of God’s glory.

Evangelio — Marcos 6:7-13

Expulsaban a

los demonios, ungían con aceite a los enfermos y los curaban.

Homily — Joseph Cardinal Tobin, CSsR

Prayers of the Faithful

Assembly response: O God our Guide, hear our prayer.

(English) That our four congregations may assist the entire

Church in becoming a prophetic witness of peace and justice

to a world in need of compassionate example. We pray…

(Spanish) That the peoples and nations of our world may work

together to cast out from the human family all hunger,

materialism, prejudice, racism and injustice. Oramos…

(French) That each of our congregations may hear the

prophetic voices among us who call us to transform our

world and renew our lives for the future. Nous prions...

(Spanish) That those who travel these summer months and

especially all those returning to their homes from this

gathering may arrive safely at their destinations refreshed

and rejuvenated by the warmth of the Spirit’s fire. Oramos...
