1. KID´S KITCAR ASSOCCIATIONWE BEGUIN IN BASQUE COUNTRY
Objective
To motivate the learning of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths (STEAM) instudents of all ages.
What is the way forward
By racing their own cars, children will learn to design and manufacture to their ownobjectives, reflecting on their experiences from previous races.
What abilities will the children obtain
The competition requires the children to work in a team and learn to organise theiractivities, from initial design, planning, through to manufacture and testing. (Skills:English, Design, Project management, finance proyect, Team working, leadership, entrepreneurship, …..)
The activites that they will fulfil are based on their own initiative, with mentors andambassadors only overseeing their activities and guiding their actions.
The timescale involved is aimed at promoting reflective learning with the children makingtheir own decisions, testing the results and learning from the elements that they identifyto need improvement.

6. WHERE ARE WE KNOW?
The Kid’s Kitcar Association was launched in October 2016. We are currently developing two kid’s cars with 4 groups of children and the
participation of their families. We are presenting these activities to schools and colleges. We presented our activities at the Maker Fair in Bilbao (november 2016), promoting
the activities of the kid’s kitcar team, so parents and teachers understood thatChildren from 5 years of age can manufacture and race their own cars.
