To be successful in this job you will have:
Essential

We are a small, well established formwork company that has been serving the Central Coast and Newcastle for over 40 years. We specialise in complex formwork for high end residential and architectural concrete structures. We are looking for an apprentice to join the team that wants to build their skills as a formwork carpenter and grow their career long term in the business. You will love this role if you have a strong focus on attention to detail, take pride in your work, and love to learn on the job. We are looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a small team but also can get on with things autonomously as you master the skills. No prior experience is necessary but a good understanding of the construction process and a passion for building design will set you up for success. 1st Year Mechanical Fitter Apprentice HunterNet Group Training are seeking a dedicated individual to join their team as an Apprentice Mechanical Fitter in Bennetts Green. This position will commence in January 2022. Working with our host company, we are looking for a motivated individual with a strong work ethic who is interested in completing a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical. The successful applicant will complete this apprenticeship over 4 years while gaining on-the-job experience with a market leader in development, production and supply of mining products and systems. As an Apprentice your main duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Completes breakdown repairs, preventative maintenance activities to all equipment on site.
• Takes direction from Maintenance Supervisors, and responds to requests from production team as required, including breakdowns, machine change overs, machine fault finding.
• Responds to radio calls in timely manner.
• Conducts machine inspections/preventative maintenance activities and reports back any faults identified.
• Ensures equipment is operational and available to meet production requirements of the business.
• Works with production team to ensure product produced is of a suitable quality.
• Identifies spare parts required and alerts Maintenance supervisor when parts are not available.
• Completes quality checks and ensures that quality inspections/gauging are being completed as required.
• Performs final quality inspections and sign-off as required for goods leaving work area.
• Will carry out the duties for this function as defined in this position description and the policies, manual and work instructions of the DSI Underground Business System.
• Completes JSAs and risk assessments for non-routine tasks as required to ensure safe operations.
• Shall ensure that the work health and safety requirements of this function are maintained in accordance with statutory legislation and company policies and procedures.
