PNG Mining & Logistics
Dear Executive,
IIR’s PNG Mining and Logistics conference is the partner event to our highly successful PNG Gas Development’s conference and will bring together senior representatives from the Australian and PNG Governments, mining, aviation, logistics and finance sectors; engineers, equipment suppliers and many more.
I would like to welcome you to this new industry initiative, which will also highlight the potential for Cairns to become a hub for the PNG mining and resources industry.
This important industry gathering will feature an array of case studies and industry updates, focusing heavily on logistic, infrastructure and engagement issues unique to working in PNG. This conference will also focus on important exploration and operational development initiatives happening through the country.
The case study driven agenda will highlight recent exploration and project developments throughout the country from some of the major players in the region and will also look in depth at some of the unique issues facing miners in PNG including:
•Infrastructureandsupplyissuesinremotelocations•Transportandlandaccessissues•Communityengagement•Governanceissues
PNG Mining and Logistics 2011 more than a mining conference – it will provide developers and explorers with a holistic picture of how to successfully operate and develop the abundant resources of PNG while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of the Shangri-La, Cairns.
I look forward to meeting you in Cairns this November.
Best regards,
