What is ISA?• International Spanish Academies (ISAs) are Dual Language Programs that have

signed a collaborative agreement with the Ministry of Education of Spain.

• This K-12 educational program is carried out within the framework of cooperative activities organized by Spain’s Office of Education in the U.S. and each participating school district.

• The language, history and culture of Spanish speaking countries are a major focus of the curriculum.

• This program is a Spanish two-way immersion program and allows students to develop proficiency in two languages by receiving classroom instruction in English as well as Spanish.

Tour Format

• Please discuss 6 works of art during each 50-minute tour.

• Of those six, please introduce 2 works by Hispanic artists, and 2 works specified by grade (outlined below).

• Please introduce a sketching activity for one of the works.

• Each docent will have 25 minutes of teaching time in the north side galleries and 25 minutes of teaching time in the south side galleries.

• It is important to stay on schedule; staff will be on hand to assist.
