- September 1999 – Emergency training courses conducted by international instructors - 2003-2004 – Transition stage: KPSS → Public Safety School (incl. Customs & Corrections) - 2005 – End of transition stage: DPED of OSCE MiK proposed establishment of KCPSED

• 2006 – December 2011 Kosovo Center for Public Safety Education and Development - January 1st, 2006 – Officially renamed KCPSED

HIGHER EDUCATION IN KAPS• Enabled through the EU Twinning Project “Improved

Education in Public Safety and Security Sectors in Kosovo”, implemented by Finland and Estonia

• Study Program according to the needs of PSIs from the experts from Finland and Estonia, selected personnel from KAPS and PSIs

• Establishment of four-year BA study program in fields of Public Safety: Police&Police Inspectorate, Customs, Correction&Probation and Emergency Management

General Courses (including languages) – 65 ECTS pointsKnowledge necessary for the student later on his/her studies or in the work as a senior officer, disregarding his/her fieldSpecialized and Advanced-Specialized Courses – 60 ECTS points• Knowledge necessary for the student to be able to work as a senior officer
