Breif Description: Intelligent remote monitoring & alert system for outdoor signalling gears consists of IoT devices with requisite sensors, Webserver and Cloud computing system. IoT devices with requisite sensors are placed at the location boxes which will communicate wirelessly to the centrally located Webserver at Station through 867MHz unlicensed RF frequency spectrum. IoT devices and Webserver communicate with RS485 modbus protocol (wireless protocol); each IoT device can handle up to 10 channels with a data rate of 9.6 kbps per channel; multiple IoT devices can be connected at location to handle more than 10 channels. One Webserver can connect up to 255 IoT devices. Webserver gathers the data from all connected IoT devices and it will post the data to Cloud continuously. Webserver and cloud server are connected through 3G/4G network or Railnet network or any other network. In build logic is embedded in Cloud server for each Signalling gear, in case of any parameter degradation it will trigger SMS alert to the field officials for enabling predictive maintenance or so as to attend the Signalling gears. In addition Web based platform enables the users to monitor and analyse the health condition of Signalling Gears remotely using Desktop PC or Mobile Phone. Fig. Schematic diagram of Intelligent Remote monitoring system. Proof of Concept (POC): Intelligent remote monitoring & alert system for outdoor signalling gears was installed experimentally during March 2017 at Birur Junction in Mysore division for monitoring the health status of 13-Track circuits and 1- Signal. This system was developed jointly by S&T Department/Mysore and M/s Energy7, Bangalore. 1. Intelligent remote monitoring & Alert system for outdoor Signalling gears

Innovator: S&T Department/Mysore & M/s Energy7 Bengalore.

2. Smart UMLC Warning system with IR Sensors.

Innovator: S&T Department/Mysore & M/s Energy7 Bangalore. Brief Description: Main objective of this system is to alert the Road users at Un manned Level crossing gates while approach of Train. It mainly consisting of Train detection device which detect the presence of Train and Alarm system which alert the road users. Train detecting device consisting of IR sensor and dB sensor. Train detection device fitted at 500 mtr away from the unmanned LC at 10 ft height and Alarm system is fitted at the Unmanned LC. GSM and RF modbus232 protocol used for communicating the both devices. This system has Self-monitoring system to alert the health of solar, battery and sensors and network. Train detection and Alert modules works on 12V solar system. This system has been installed at Unmanned LC Gate No.67 at Km: 73/100-000 between HLN-MGF section and demonstrated the working to GM/SWR/UBL during annual inspection between MYS-ASK. Approx. cost is Rs. 2.33 Lakhs of per UMLC Gate.

For details please contact: Shri D. Sreenivasulu DSTE/MYS. CUG No. 9731667801.

3. Smart UMLC Warning system using LoRa

Innovator: S&T Department/Mysore /Mysore & M/s Navenate. Brief Description: Main objective of this system is to alert the Road users at Un manned Level crossing gates while approach of Train. It mainly consisting of Loco device, UMLC device and Gateway device. LoCo device is kept inside Engine which will transmit its’s GPS location every second, LC device is kept near Unmanned lc at an height of 10 – 15 feet and Gateway is installed at a convenient location, higher the Gateway longer is the range. As the train with LoCo device enters the Geofencing area data is sent to server. Server does the analysis if train has entered Geo-Fenced area or not. If train has entered Geo fenced area, then an indication is sent to LC Warning device. An audio visual warning will be started till the train leave Geo-Fenced area. The defining of Geo-fence is based on train speed, the key point to be addressed is, Warning has to start 30 seconds prior to train at LC which is done by calculating speed and distance of LC from Train For details please contact: Shri D. Sreenivasulu DSTE/MYS. CUG No. 9731667801.

5. PIT LINE MOBILE TROLLEY

Innovator: Mechanical Department/Mysore. Brief Description: At present several Heavy tools, Gauges and other required equipment's are being carried by C&W staff while on under gear Examination. Also they are facing much hardship to conduct the pit line examination without proper focusing light. To overcome these difficulties, it has developed “Hand trolley with focusing lighting arrangement For details please contact: Shri A.J Rao SSE/C&W/Mysore Contact No. 9980844400

6. ART Equipment’s

Innovator: Mechanical Department/Mysore. For details please contact A.J Rao SSE/C&W/Mysore Contact No. 9980844400

SPACER: Spacer is made up of two telescopic tubes is used to connect two Roller Carriages is take over the direct power transmission and routing. It is quit suitable for re-railing of Bio-fitment coaches, single telescopic hydraulic jack is using below the head stock center in conventional method. At present most of the coaches fitted with bio toilets, place is very less in between two bio-toilets to keep the jack under the head stock. Coach will be lifted with two telescopic jacks simultaneously above the rail level, after those two jacks will be removed laterally as a single unit with the help of displacement jack(traverse jack) from one end to re-rail the coach

Portable Mono Rail Cum Road Trolley: This trolley having two Nos. of MS solid tapered wheels and two Rubber tier wheels which can run on mono rail and road respectively. The Trolly can Roll on mono Rail as well as on Road. The pushing handle are removable and can be fixed from both ends. Road wheels also removable whenever the ballast height is more by the side of rail. It is portable type of trolley which can be operated by single staff to transship small items or two hydraulic jacks at a time to worj spot quickly.

7. IP CAMERA AT EMC SOCKETS DURING ACCIDENTS

Innovator: S&T Department, Mysore Division. Brief Description: Emergey communication sockets are available along the track at every one kilometre. Auto phone pair(2wire) in EMC socket can be used to extend the Railnet connectivity at EMC sockets with 2 Mbps Bandwidth. TDM Multiplexer at EMC sockets can be configured for IP camera, auto phone, IP phone, control phone and BSNL phone. Accident site rescue and restoration operation can be viewed any where by connecting to Railnet network. This will eliminate the requirement of VAST equipment at accident site which takes lot of time to setup the antenna and is bulky in size and earmarked space required in ART. Approximate cost of VSAT per ART is Rs. 10 lakhs and the cost of the proposed system is Rs. 3 lakhs per ART. For details please contact: Shri D. Sreenivasulu DSTE/MYS. CUG No. 9731667801
