GeoGebra Workshops
• Started to use GeoGebra in April 2006– We started with ~10 upper secondary teachers in the Trondheim
area, and invited them to a chain GeoGebra seminars at NTNU
• Several one or two day GeoGebra workshops– in combination with software like spreadsheets and CAS– Material mainly based on mathematical activities/problems– Workshops given in many places in Norway

• In-service training program for teachers– autumn 2008– 7.5 ECTS– Distant learning, only two gatherings during the term– The students had to do some explorative work
with their own pupils in their own classrooms– Using Moodle and a portfolio system
• GeoGebra institute workshops (since late 2008)– Using Judith Hohenwarter’s material.

Some experiences• Judith’s worksheets is very good for self study
in combination with some online support– But motivation/time may be a challenge
• Teachers are very enthusiastic about GeoGebra,– But we really do not know how much
they are using GeoGebra in their classrooms.
• Program for Professional developmentwith ECTS was successfull– But difficult to put too many demands on most teachers
