Introduction
"Video referees would destroy football. If we had this, in 10 years' time, we would no longer have any referees, refereeing would be over forever and we would have to use a video. You would have to stop the game every 10 seconds, for every decision that is questioned.
Football is a human game and the mistakes are human. We need to help solve the mistakes, but we must not lose the human feeling of our sport."
The head of UEFA ,Michel Platini, once said:
Do you agree with this statement? Do other sports benefit from video technology?

Video officials
Changes in technology in sport have led to a number of changes of responsibilities for officials.
Video referees have been introduced in a number of sports such as cricket, tennis and rugby. It is the responsibility of the video official to review decisions based on instant replay technology.
The assistance of the video referee is generally provided at the on-field referee or umpire’s request, to provide guidance on marginal decisions. Some sports also allow the players to request referrals of the decisions to the video officials.
