    Nature Walk CollagePlan a nature walk with your child when pollen counts are lower(usually after 10am). Along the way, collect interesting items touse for a keepsake collage.

    What You Do:

    1.Bring a bag or envelope with you and your child as you explore the outdoors.

    2.Encourage your child to collect dif ferent items such as twigs, colorful leaves,bits of stone, etc.

    3.After your walk, talk about the different items hes found and glue them to the cardstock.

    4.Use crayons and accents to decorate the page and title/date the piece (E.g. StevesSpringtime Stroll).

    5.Take nature walks throughout the year so you can create a series of seasonal collages. How dothe items change? What colors do you see? Use this as an opportunity to discuss the seasons withyour child and teach him about the environment.

    What You Need:

    Scissors

    Decorative Accentssuch as glitter, feathers,pipe cleaners, etc.

    Crayons

    Tissue Paper CreationsHelp your child create a bouquet of sneeze-free flowers for her room.

    What You Need:

    Tissue paper squares(any colors)

    ScissorsPipe cleaners

    Vase (optional)

    What You Do:

    1.Stack a few squares of tissue paper.

    2.Fold the tissue paper back and forth (accordion style)

    like a paper fan.3.Wrap one end of a pipe cleaner around the center

    of the folded tissue to make a stem.

    4.Cut zigzags or round the ends of the folded paperto make different kinds of petals.

    5.Pull the tissue paper layers to make the flower bloom.

    6.Create several colorful flowers for a beautiful(and pollen-free) bouquet.
