SUMMER SESSION7/7 - 8/14

Everything in NYC was gorgeous to me. A lot of foreigners, busy people and buildings were amazing. I love the atmosphere of manhattan, so I often went there.

Not only manhattan,

the buildings, people, and even

the mascot of SBU were fresh

because it was the first time in the US

And I Graudated IEC Summer course

THE WEST8/15 - 8/22

Btw Summer and fall session, we went to the west and had a good time there. We saw LA Dodgers' game, visit Universial Studio and Disney Land.

There was really different from NY. It was more likely

vacation spot, and the view was more seems like nature.

We recharged ourselves there.

We went to UC Berkeley, and met our friend from Korea. The day we met was birthday of one of them, so we celebrated him. Meeting hometown friends in other country, it feels so great.

WASHINGTON DCOn labor's day and the weekend, I went to Washington DC. Before went there, I had studied US history, and what's in the Smithsonian Museums. Thanks to them, I could enjoy the trip.

There was a Korean Was Veterans

Memorial in front of Lincoln Memorial. Walking along the

park, all of us went solemn. We realized

they made us live peacefully in Korea.

We jumped in front of Washington Monument, and It seems weird.

FALL SEMESTERIn "Idea and Form" class, I made several pieces, each project has theme : light, line, composition, etc. This work is result for 'Composition project.'

I worked in "Classical Physics Lab" class and studied electronic part of classiical physics. It was great experiecne because I didn't know any terms using in experiments.

CANADA TRIPOn this thanks giving vacation, we went to Canada. Although it was really cold, the weather is sunny and view was so beautiful. We had a great time.

In Korea, people who is over 19 can drink alcohol, but it's not in the US. Canada's age limit is same as Korea, so we drank many kinds of alcohol in Canada, including ice wine.

I had a really great time with my friends because all of the nature and buildings are charming.

AND FRIENDS

Through IEC class, fall class and my dorm friends, I made many foreign friends. Even though I usually am along with my hometown friends, I spend much time with new friends here. There were many Brazilian friends in IEC course, four jolly friends from Mexico, and a kind man from Hong Kong. I met many good people in fall semester, too. All people I have met are kind and have open mind. I think my life in the US was happy thanks to all of my friends.

6 months go rapidly and now we are going back to Korea.At the first, we don't know anything of American culture.

But now, we are talking with you and can enjoy your culture.I'm waiting for the next visit to America.
