qualification, and assists business
establishments and the government in
strengthening the tax awareness and
knowledge.

How to become a CTT?
1. Attend the review/seminar.
2. Pass the examination.
3. Apply for membership with the
PACTT.
Review/Seminar1. Pay a registration fee of P2,500
(non-CPA) or P3,500 (for CPA, entitled to 16 CPD units).
2. Attend the review/seminar to beconducted by the CTP.
3. Training materials are to beprovided by ALP.

Who are qualified to take?
1. Graduate/student of business
course (e.g. BSA, BSBA, BSAct,
BSFM, BSFA, etc.)
2. Graduate of a non-business
course but a graduate of Bachelor
of Laws degree.
Qualifications to take the exam
3. Must have passed at least a three (3)-unit subject in Taxation.
4. CPAs are eligible to take theexamination even without attendingseminar (but not entitled to CPD units)if registered with us on or before theseminar.

b. One (1) copy of passport size photo
c. Two (2) copies of Transcript ofRecords (TOR)/diploma (CPAs:photocopy of PRC ID card only).

a. TOR or Certification from the Dean/
Chairperson that the applicant has
passed at least a 3-unit subject in
Taxation.
b. Duly accomplished CTT Application Form.
c. Passport size photo.
EXAM QUESTIONS1. Part 1: 40% (Multiple Choice Theory
and Problems): 40 items
Part 2: 60% (Tax Practice)
2. Examination is good for 3 hours.
3. Passing score: 60% zero based with
a grade of not lower than 20% in
Part 1.
PART 1 (40%) – Possible Questions
1. Updates in taxation (TRAIN Law).
2. Basic knowledge of internal revenue
taxes and local taxes.
3. Computations are not complicated.
4. No questions will be asked on Principles
of Taxation and Tax Remedies.
PART 2 (60%) – TAX PRACTICE
1. Familiarization of BIR Forms.
2. Fill-out at least one (1), two (2) orthree (3) BIR Forms based on theinformation given in the problem.
3. Tip: Always fill important boxes but donot write anything on boxes that arenot necessary.

1. Pencil and/or ballpen.

UPON PASSING THE EXAMS/BENEFITS
1. Register as member of the PhilAssociation of Certified TaxTechnicians, Inc (PACTT) by payingP700.
2. Credential: Will have the privilege toearn the title Certified Tax Technician(CTT).
1. Expect to receive email from us (within one week)
CTT – “Congrats Letter”
DIT – “Congrats Letter – Diploma”
2. Failed to receive a letter:
Inform us thru fb: “Certified Tax Technician”
3. Failure to register:
a. After the deadline – P500 penalty
b. After six (6) months – result is forfeited
BENEFITS 1. The CTT qualification provides a solid
foundation from which to build a futurecareer in taxation or related fields.
2. Will receive the

(b) Certificate of membership
(c) ID card, and
(d) laptop case.

3. Entitled to attend (at a minimal fee)anywhere in the country on TaxSeminars sponsored by PACTT (P300non-CPA)
4. If the member is a CPA, attendance in theseminar will entitle the participant toearn 16 CPD units, but will pay P1,000 forthe CPD registration with PRC.

Emphases 1. This is not an international
certification but we are accreditedby Royal Institution Singapore (RIS).
2. This is not a substitute to theaccreditation with BIR as anAccredited Tax Agent/Practitionerbut may serve as additional points orqualification.

2. Payment to be deposited with PACTT
Membership Fee.
3. Only CTT/DIT shall be recommended by
PACTT.
