• NAMSS firsts:
• formed in California in 1971

• Membership grew from initially under 60 members to over 5,700 members in 2016
• Membership demographics have changed from primarily traditional hospital credentialing/privileging members to a strong presence of managed care members.
• Increasing presence of international members
• New affiliation with the American Health Care Lawyers Association (AHLA) has also enriched and diversified our membership.
