Contest Rules

A. GENERAL RULES AND PROCEDURES

1. The following are the rules for Princess Tomato in the salad kingdom sanctioned contests and

are required to be read aloud at the cook’s meeting.

2. Each team must have two members and a Head Cook who will be resonsible for their

team’s actions and adherence to the event’s rules.

!. "o cometitive foods ma# be re$cooked% marinated% cured% etc.% rior to the food insection%

unless the event coordinator has stiulated otherwise. The Head &udge shall make the finaldecision as to whether an# cometitive food roduct shall not be allowed.

'. The heat source for cooking the cometitive foods must be from charcoal. "o gas or electric

grills are ermitted% unless the event coordinator has stiulated otherwise.

(. Each team must maintain a clean cooking area. )our entire assigned area must be cleaned at

the end of the event. *ll materials and garbage must be disosed of b# the team. * breach of

this rule will mean disqualification. The Head &udge is resonsible for deciding disqualifications.

1. *ll teams must rovide their own ingredients unless otherwise secified.

C. EQUIPMENT

1. Each team will rovide a it or its to be used e,clusivel# b# that team within the team-s

assigned cooking sace. "o cooking of food entries from two or more teams are allowed in the

same its/ at the same time.

2. Each team must rovide a washing station% using one caful 1 ts./ of bleach to one gallon

of water for general cleanu and washing of dishes% cutting boards% etc. The use of disosable

gloves and an# other similar rotective items is strongl# recommended to hel maintain good

h#giene and a germ$free work area.
