testing experience and a diverse background of extra-curricular activities and interests. I am a quick learner;
possess strong leadership skills and the ability to deal creatively and practically with real world problems.
Multi-faceted experience of over two years in Automobile sector with work in Vehicle Integration and
Validation department in Passive Safety Domain
Professional Expertise
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles India Limited Since May 2014
Designation: Senior Engineer- Vehicle Safety and Restraints
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:
Vehicle Safety Engineering
o Conducting full fledged vehicle crash test at ARAI on current platform vehicle for all load cases i.e.
Frontal ODB test, Side MDB test, Rear Impact Test & Pedestrian Protection Test as per ECE regulations
o Handling all post crash analysis using Hyper-graph tool and report generation for the tests conducted
o Supported the crash lab correlation activity done to compare results from crash tests done at FIAT
Safety Center Italy and that done at ARAI under similar conditions
o Summarizing all safety regulatory requirements and NCAP requirements for all markets and constantly
keeping them updated according to new standards as and when they are introduced
o Supported in analyzing the impact of cost reduction ideas on safety performance of the vehicle and its
impact on the star rating of the vehicle in European and Australian markets by working closely with the
CAE team and using those results along with product information to calculate the star rating that the
vehicle might get
Product Development - New Programs o Identification of unique safety requirements and incorporating the same at global level development for
successful delivery of the project o Supported the Vehicle Safety Responsible for delivering targets for a program considering the
performance of benchmark vehicles and the future trend of the respective attributes o Identification of design requirements at an early stage of program to achieve the target performance o Preparing the system level as well as vehicle level safety performance comparisons of the benchmark
vehicles as a part of departmental capability development; that is to have a ready reference data bank o Supported on setting the vehicle level targets (VTS) and strategic planning of vehicle safety rating and
requirements for FCA for current and future programs o Supported testing activity for benchmarking of competitive set vehicles for new vehicle development
program, this activity also included gathering customer voices and compiling them to come up with vehicle level targets for the new program. This activity has been transformed to Customer Car Profile
Achievements
Was a part of the team that won the award of “Best team of the year” for the year 2014-2015.

o Participated in a program involving study and application of basic hydraulics and pneumatics at
Bosch Rexroth center of competence in advance Technology, Mysore
Projects and Seminars:
Automatic speed acquisition
o Worked on a concept to automatically decrease and maintain the speed of a vehicle whenever it
enters a speed limit zone if the speed is greater than the limit
o Demonstrated the working with a prototype model
Estimation of Wear of Acetabular Cups in hip joint Prosthesis
o Worked on measuring, both experimentally and analytically, the volumetric wear and wear
distribution in a retrieved acetabular cup
Effects of cut-outs, holes and cracks on the stress induced in the material
o Provided FE analysis of plate with hole subjected to different orientation of load and obtained
stress concentration for the plates
o Considered plate with elliptical hole and studied the effect of varying minor axis of the hole on
the maximum stress induced in the plate
FEM analysis of magneto-rheological (MR) damper
o Provided a detailed finite element analysis tool for modeling magneto-rheological Dampers,
o Provided a design analysis of some of the parameters in MR dampers that can have a significant
effect on the force-velocity characteristics of MR dampers, and
o Evaluated the effect of different geometric designs on increasing the damping force that can
result from an MR damper with a given size
Stress concentration and method to reduce stress concentration factor in flat plate with central
hole
o Modeled a plate with a central hole subjected to tensile load to get stress concentration around
the hole
o Demonstrated how the provision of small auxiliary holes around a large notch can reduce the
stress concentration around the notch considerably
Application of robots in agriculture
o Gave seminar on advantages and applications of implementing robotics in agriculture
o Also explained the working principle of Autonomous Harvesting Robot by taking example of
Demeter robot
Thermal Protection Systems (TPS) for Re-entry Space Vehicles Using Ablative Materials
