After practising yoga in various centres in Canada, I decided to go to India and stay in an Ashram to get a real

Yogi life experience. However, getting there would be a challenge, as finances, taking time off from work and family re-

sponsibilities were all major impediments. Yet somehow, through the amazing grace of God, things aligned themselves to

allow me to take this journey.

The Sivanada Yoga Vedanta Dhanwantari Ashram located in Neyyar Dam Kerala, is a teachers training camp. I

took part in an intensive and rigorous one-month teachers training course in order to receive my yoga teacher certification.

The focus at the Ashram was based on Gurukula style (ancient teaching method), which consisted of a strict schedule based

on the five principles of yoga as taught by swami Sivananda and Swami Vishnu Devananda.

The five principles are: 1) Proper Exercise (Asanas); 2) Proper Breathing (Pranayama); 3) Proper Relaxation

(Savasana); 4) Proper Diet (Vegetarian and Balanced); and 5) Positive Thinking and Meditation.

The daily schedule at the Sivanada Yoga Vedanta Dhanwantari Ashram consisted of the following activities:

Time Activity

5:30am Wake up with a Temple Style Bell

6:00am Group Meditation, Chanting and Spiritual Talk

7:30am Tea under the Tree in an Open Space

8:00am - 9:45am Yoga Class with Asanas, Chanting, Breathing and Relaxation

10:00am Vegetable Meal , Seated on the Floor

10:45am - 11:45am Karma Yoga, Essential Part of Yoga Practice, the Ashram is

run mainly by Volunteers (Staff, Students and Guests).

12:00pm - 1:00pm Bhagavad Gita or chanting class

1:30pm Healthy Tea served with Healthy Snacks or Fruit

2:00 - 3:30pm Main Lecture - Philosophy

4:00pm - 5:45pm Asana Class Outdoor Beside the Lake

6:00pm Vegetarian Meals

8:00pm Satsang, Meditation, Prayers and Spiritual Talk

10:30pm Lights Out

We followed this schedule from Saturday to Thursday each week. On Fridays we participated in off-site group

excursions beginning at 6:00am, and would return to the ashram at 6:00pm to participate in evening Satsung.

I was exhausted by the end of first week, but was thankful for my husband who stayed as a guest at the ashram and really

helped me settle into the experience, by helping me focus, and providing me with guidance and support.

As students, we had an average of four hours of yoga per day, half an hour of breathing, and two hours of chanting. Morn-

ing

would begin with a 6:00am walk with torch lights. This was an inspiring start to the day, getting to watch the beautiful sun

rise, and hearing dogs barking in the distance. A few mornings a week we would end our morning walks by sitting and

meditating by the lakeside near the ashram.

People from all over the world attended the ashram. We all wore the same yellow t-shirt uniform, ate the same

food, and followed the same schedule. Among the 96 students, 10-12 trained volunteer teachers would walk around ob-

serving and correcting our postures. Simple acts such as sitting cross-legged, eating in silence using only our hands, were

new experiences for some and a forgotten practice for others. There was only one doctor, limited telephone access, natural

laundry services, and massage services available.

The ashram life opened my heart and made me realize the meaning of simple living and high thinking. My yoga

journey has continued in Canada with thanks to my yoga teachers from the Markham Vedic Cultural Centre, and Anna-

malai yoga studies with my Guru Jeyarajeen Sivalingam. These experiences have given me more in-depth understanding

“The soul that moves in the world of senses and yet keeps the senses in the harmony…. finds rest

in quietness”

Nahfk;

There are many life changing events people go through in their lives- events that change the course of one's fu-

ture. Perhaps you make a life changing decision, or you meet someone who will play a key role in the rest of

your life.

A few years ago, I experienced one of these life changing events. I found out what yoga was really all about.

Being raised in a devout Hindu household, I was obviously introduced to yoga at a very young age- five to be

exact. My father would practice his routines every now and then, and I would attempt them myself just for the

fun of it. Of course, try as I may, I couldn't do the hard Asanas such as Sirisasana and Mayurasana, and I haven't

bothered to try the easy ones, because only the flashy Asanas appealed to me at that age.

I never really knew why my dad did what he did back then, until much later. During my teen years, I have al-

ways heard about the benefits of yoga, but I, like most other teens, was not concerned too much about my health.

So it wasn't until I finished high school when I finally attended a yoga class, but it was after my mother's

insistence.

First year of university was taking a toll on me. I had to get used to many changes, such as a shift in study pat-

terns and work load. These were definitely stressful times. At this point, I was desperate to try anything that

could help me through school, even if it meant attending my mom's yoga class at the community center. It was

worth a shot, right?

Well, it definitely was an interesting experience. I not only had the chance to meet 80 year olds who were more

flexible than I am, I also had the chance to truly learn about yoga in a flexible and easy going environment. I

learned a lot andstarted feeling great. I would normally practice yoga once a week, and after the day I practice, I

would feel energized and relaxed for the entire day. My mind was much sharper and I was able to understand

concepts at school much more easily than before.

I have participated various sports such as Karate to basketball, and I always felt great after a couple of rounds on

the heavy bag, or a couple of games, but the feeling after a yoga session is like no other. A yoga session can be

compared to a full tune up one gives to an automobile. There is an asana catered to any particular ailment one

may have, but that does not mean that one should ignore all the other asanas- yoga strives for balance within the

entire body, as all parts are interconnected.

Many decide to start yoga when they become older. Yoga provides a relatively stress free workout in a non-

competitive environment, emphasizing improvement and understanding of the self. This would appeal to some

older people who are not into more strenuous activities. But I am 22 and in good health, therefore I know that

yoga can benefit me.

The literal meaning of the mantra is:

O God! You are Omnipresent, Omnipotent and Almighty, You are all Light. You are all Knowledge and Bliss.

You are Destroyer of fear, You are Creator of this Universe, You are the Greatest of all. We bow and meditate

upon Your light. You guide our intellect in the right direction.

The mantra, however, has a great scientific importance too, which somehow got lost in the literary tradition. The

modern astrophysics and astronomy tell us that our Galaxy called Milky Way or Akash-Ganga contains approxi-

mately 100,000 million of stars. Each star is like our sun having its own planet system. We know that the moon

moves round the earth and the earth moves round the sun along with the moon. All planets round the sun. Each

of the above bodies revolves round at its own axis as well. Our sun along with its family takes one round of the

galactic center in 22.5 crore years. All galaxies including ours are moving away at a terrific velocity of 20,000

mile s per second.

And now the alternative scientific meaning of the mantra step by step:

(A). OM BHUR BHUVAH SWAH:

Bhur the earth, bhuvah the planets (solar family), swah the Galaxy. We observe that when an ordinary fan with a

speed of 900 RPM (rotations Per minute) moves, it makes noise. Then, one can imagine, what great noise would

be created when the galaxies move with a speed of 20,000 miles per second. This is what this portion of the

mantra explains that the sound produced due to the fast-moving earth, planets and galaxies is Om. The sound

was heard during meditation by Rishi Vishvamitra, who mentioned it to other colleagues. All of them, then

unanimously decided to call this sound Om the name of God, because this sound is available in all the three peri-

ods of time, hence it is set (permanent). Therefore, it was the first ever revolutionary idea to identify formless

God with a specific title (form) called upadhi. Until that time, everybody recognized God as formless and no-

body was prepared to accept this new idea. In the Gita also, it is said, "Omiti ekaksharam brahma", meaning that

the name of the Supreme is Om , which contains only one syllable (8/12). This sound Om heard during samadhi

was called by all the seers nada-brahma a very great noise), but not a noise that is normally heard beyond a spe-

cific amplitude and limits of decibels suited to human hearing. Hence the rishis called this sound Udgith musical

sound of the above, i.e., heaven. They also noticed that the infinite mass of galaxies moving with a velocity of

20,000 miles/second was generating a kinetic energy = 1/2 MV2 and this was balancing the total energy con-

sumption of the cosmos. Hence they named it Pranavah, which means the body (vapu) or store house of energy

Gayatri Mantra & Its Scientific Meaning:

Gayatri mantra has been bestowed the greatest importance in Vedic

dharma. This mantra has also been termed as Savitri and Ved-Mata,

the mother of the Vedas.

Om bhur bhuvah swah

Tat savitur varenyam

Bhargo devasya dheemahi

Dhiyo yo nah prachodayat

31

Page 34: Yogam 2012

Nahfk;

(B). TAT SAVITUR VARENYAM:

Tat that (God), savitur the sun (star), varenyam worthy of bowing or respect. Once the form of a person along

with the name is known to us, we may locate the specific person.Hence the two titles (upadhi) provide the solid

ground to identify the formless God, Vishvamitra suggested. He told us that we could know (realize) the un-

knowable formless God through the known factors, viz., sound Om and light of suns (stars). A mathematician

can solve an equation x2+y2=4; if x=2; then y can be known and so on. An engineer can measure the width of a

river even by standing at the riverbank just by drawing a triangle. So was the scientific method suggested by

Vishvamitra in the mantra in the next portion as under:-

(C). BHARGO DEVASYA DHEEMAHI:

Bhargo the light, devasya of the deity, dheemahi we should meditate. The rishi instructs us to meditate upon the

available form (light of suns) to discover the formless Creator (God). Also he wants us to do japa of the word

Om (this is understood in the Mantra). This is how the sage wants us to proceed, but there is a great problem to

realize it, as the human mind is so shaky and restless that without the grace of the Supreme (Brahma) it cannot

be controlled. Hence Vishvamitra suggests the way to pray Him as under:

(D). DHIYO YO NAH PRACHODAYAT:

Dhiyo (intellect), yo (who), nah (we all), prachodayat (guide to right Direction). O God! Deploy our intellect on

the right path. Full scientific interpretation of the Mantra: The earth (bhur), the planets (bhuvah), and the galax-

ies (swah) are moving at a very great velocity, the sound produced is Om , (the name of formless God.) That

God (tat), who manifests Himself in the form of light of suns (savitur) is worthy of bowing/respect (varenyam).

We all, therefore, should meditate (dheemahi) upon the light (bhargo) of that deity (devasya) and also do chant-

ing of Om. May He (yo) guide in right direction (prachodayat) our (nah) intellect dhiyo

The primary goal of every individual in life should be to realize the divine potency within, and this is the source

of all talents. See divinity in all being and in all what you do for this is the energy that will direct mankind on to

the right path. What ever you do, whatever you see, whatever you speak saturate it with Divinity so that you be-

come aware of your reality.

God Seeks a True Devotee

Once a devotee went to Jesus and asked him “Oh Lord! What is the power by which one can protect oneself?”

Jesus replied, Son! When you love God, the power itself will protect you.

In Bhagavad Gita, Arjuna asked Krishna, “What should one do to earn the love of the Lord? Krishna replied,

“you simpleton! You imagine you are loving God. The truth is God is seeking a true devotee”

Krishna fostered what was really beneficial to Arjuna; He paid full consideration to what will really promote the

reputation, the Atma-ananda(bliss) and the Dharma (right Conduct) of Arjuna. He tended and fended Arjuna as

the very breath of His own life; He watched over Arjuna as one watches over the eye or the heart, and thus trans-

formed him by teaching him about holy things. Krishna loved Arjuna beyond compare; Arjuna too was no ordi-

nary being; he bowed in humility to Krishnaand carried out sincerely the assignments from Him. Whatever the

crisis, he stuck to Krishna’s command and word; he wore the comradeship with the Lord as the armour that will

save him from all harm, as the very body in which he dwelt, as something which he must foster, strengthen and

guard.

Yoga, at face value for most, may seem like any other type of basic exercise, including agility, means of weight

loss, and meditation. However, when really looking in depth into all the clearly divided areas, and principles that

follow, it comes to realization that it is much more then the average understanding of meditation and flexibility.

Although the two are prominent aspects, there are many contributing principles that make yoga the world wide

practice it is today. There are seven specific energy centers within the body that mark openings to life and en-

ergy flows, each symbolize a different aspect of the universe and carry out a distinct role which uses various fre-

quencies to eventually result in an internal empowerment of the soul. These are called Chakras, also known as

the wheels of life. They affect our body on a physical level, mental level, and conciounous mental level. Using

these chakras the practice of yoga uses a variety of poses, and sequences also known as Asanas to steer these

wheels of life to connect both the infinite body and physical body as one. As a beginner student in yoga it has

come to my realization that yoga not only promotes physical health but greatly assists the mental health of an

individual. Unlike many other forms of physical exercise such as mass workout routines, weight lifting, and

group sports, involving significant pros and cons, yoga not only positively affects the physical body but has a

substantial effect on the mental health of an individual as well. Yoga, at face value, seeming like any other sim-

ple form of exercise, is truly the source of inner realization, empowerment and fulfilment.

My name is Sharmica Chandramohan, and I've been learning Yoga for the past nine months. My guru's name is

Jeyarajeen, he is very hard working and passionate about what he does. He has been teaching Yoga for twelve

years, both in Sri Lanka and Canada, and I'm extremely honoured to be his one of his students. He is there for us

in any way possible, and understands and precautions to take or what Asanas to do when there is something

wrong with our bodies. He teaches us simple ways of life, such as forgive and forget, let things go, be the bigger

person. As a student, I really take what he says seriously and look up to him very much. He really has a helping

hand, and someday I wish to make a difference in the world just like he is doing. He also helps autistic students

to learn Yoga; he believes that yoga is for everyone that it can open someone's mind about the world. When I

first began Yoga, nine months ago, much of the lessons I have learnt now were unknown to me. I did not know

that simple things like proper breathing would go such a long way. I would like to thank him for his dedication

to Yoga and his students.

When I first went to yoga it was, because I learned and found out I was flexible. Then when master said I was

his assistant, I got really happy and excited. Then later it was our one year anniversary and I heart that we are

having program and I got so happy. This was my first time I will be on TV! I am so glad that I went to yoga. The

reason why I went to yoga is because I had nose bleeds and after I went and took the class it had stopped. Hi my

name is Santhya Sivakumar. I am eight years old. I started yoga for one year.

sometimes called Kriya Babaji Nagaraj, Mahaavatar Babaji or Shiva

Baba. His body has not aged since the age of sixteen when he con-

quered death and attained a supreme state of enlightenment. Adi

Shankaracharya (788 A.D. - 820 A.D.), in a famous poem describes

Babaji, his guru: "Behold, under the banyan tree are seated the aged

disciples around their youthful teacher! This is strange indeed! The

teacher instructs them only through silence, which in itself is suffi-

cient to solve all their doubts (Sri Ramakrishna Math, 1969, p. 25-

26).

More than sixty-five years ago the Theosophists, the Reverend C.W.

Leadbeater and Dr. Annie Besant, also described an extraordinary

being who may be none other than Babaji:

"There he stood, 'the Youth of sixteen summers', Sanata Kumara. the

'Eternal-Virgin-Youth', the new ruler of earth, come to his kingdom,

his Pupils, the three Kumaras, with him, his Helpers around him;

thirty mighty Beings there, great beyond Earth's reckoning, though in

graded order, clothed in the glorious bodies they had created by Kriya shakti, the first occult hierarchy, branches

of the one spreading Banyan tree, the nursery of future Adepts, the centre of all occult life".

During the past forty years, several books, beginning with the Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa

Yogananda, written in 1946, have referred to the great spiritual master, Babaji, who for centuries has lived in the

Himalayan mountains, appearing occasionally to a fortunate few. Sri Yukteswar, Yogananda's guru, said that

Babaji's attainment was so great that it could not even be conceived of. Yogananda has stated that Babaji is a

"Maha avatara", or great avatara. "Avatara" is a Sanskrit word which means "descent" or incarnation of the God-

head in human form. He also characterized "siddhars" as having attained mastery over death. He referred to

Agastyar as being an avatar of South India, a miracle worker who has lived from pre-Christian era right up to the

present time, and for whom a considerable Tamil language literature exists. Agastya belongs to the ''18 siddha

tradition'', which is famous among Tamil speaking people of southern India.

BABAJI'S BIRTH

In the year 203 A.D, on the 30th day of November, in a small village now known as Parrangipetai , in Tamil

Nadu, India, a child was born. His parents named him Nagaraj (King of the Serpants), to honour the great pri-

mordial force, Kundalini Shakti.

The child's birth coincided with the ascendancy (Nakshatra) of the star Rohini, and was in the Wadala Gotra

(bllod group). It is the same star under which Lord Krishna had been born on July 20, 3228 B.C.(Satya Sai Baba,

1977) The birth took place during the celebration of Kartikai Deepam, the Festival of Lights. This festival occurs

on the night before the new moon during the Tamil month of Kartikai. The Festival of Lights celebrates the

triumph of the forces of Light over the forces of Darkness. The Tamils celebrate the victory of their popular de-

ity, Murugan, over the demons who threatened to overrun the world. Lord Murugan, son of Lord Shiva, is the

favorite deity of the Tamil Siddhas. In northern India the festival is celebrated on the anniversary of the return of

Lord Rama to Ayodhya and the triumph of the forces of good over evil is remembered as well. The auspicious

time for the child's birth could not have been chosen more wisely by the one who, subsequently, was to progres-

sively manifest the greatness of both Lord Krishna and Lord Murugan.

The father and mother of this child were descendants of families of Nambudri Brahmins, renowned for their

dedication to priestly duty and scholarship. Nagaraj's father was the priest of the village's principal temple, or

"koil" in Tamil. This temple was dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Parangipettai is only seventeen kilometers from one of the greatest pilgrimage destinations of Southern India, the

colossal temple of Chidambaram, containing the incomparably beautiful image of Shiva as Nataraja, the Cosmic

Dancer. Thirumoolar, the great Siddha, attained soruba samadhi here thousands of years ago. His transformative

experience and the devotion of millions of pilgrims since then, have surcharged Chidambaram with very power-

ful spiritual vibrations. Nagaraj's birth in a region of such a great sanctity, that he has experienced during pil-

grimages with his family to Chidambaram, and in such a relogious family undoubtedly helped fueling his spiri-

tual aspirations.

KIDNAPPING AND YEARS OF WANDERING

When Nagaraj was five years old, a visiting trader kidnapped him, seeing in the boy's fair, handsome features

potential for profit. He sold the boy to a wealthy man as a slave. His new owner was a kind man and gave Nata-

raj his freedom shortly thereafter. These events set the stage for Nataraj's liberation from the duties and limita-

tions of a Brahmin householder.

Nagaraj, after being freed by his kindly benefactor, joined a small group of wandering sanyasins. He was at-

tracted by their radiant faces and love for God. During the next few years, he wandered from place to place with

various sanyasins, studying the sacred scriptures of India, such as the Vedas, the Upanishads, the epics Mahab-

harata and Ramayana, and the Bhagavad Gita. His reputation as a scholar grew. He was often invited to debate

with other pundits and leaders belonging to various metaphysical schools of thought. It was a period in which

many competing schools of thought existed, as there was great freedom of self-expression. He used to debate

with various scholars metaphysical subjects about the nature of the soul and reality. He was able to clarify points

and resolve disputes with an erudition that was astonishing, especially for one so young.

QUEST FOR SELFREALIZATION

Nagaraj felt that his scholarship with regards to the scriptures was not bringing him any closer to Self realization,

lasting happiness and fulfillment. He became increasingly dissatisfied. He was like a person by a wall, jumping

up and down to get glimpses of a beautiful garden on the other side. As he matured, he came to understand that

only a permanent change in consciousness, God-realization, could end his search for such fulfillment. His fame

as a scholar, was becoming a source of distraction. The metaphysical disputations were not bringing him closer

to the goal of enlightenment. Words, no matter how well reasoned, could not capture the Truth. Words could at

best point the way to it- but to arrive at the goal, one needed to go beyond the words and reasonings. As yet he

It was during this period, at the age of eleven, that he made a long and difficult journey on foot and by boat with

a group of scholar ascetics from Benares to the sacred shrine of Katirgama, Sri Lanka.

BABAJI AND SIDDHA BOGANATHAR

In Katirgama ('''the village of Lord Kartikeya'', Kartikeya is one of the names of Lord Murugan) Siddha

Boganathar established the main temple that, unlike all other temples, contains no carved image of God. Instead,

Page 69: Yogam 2012

Boganathar installed a mystic yantra carved into a golden plate, representing within its form and mantra sylla-

bles, a crystallization of the great deity Murugan. To this day the yantra plate is guarded from public view. Only

the priests of the temple may view it…Nagaraj met Siddha Boganathar at Katirgama, and seeing his greatness,

became his disciple. Sitting under a large spreading banyan tree with him for six months, Nagaraj performed

intensive yogic "sadhana" (yogic practices), particularly various "dhyana kriyas" (meditation techniques) into

which he was initiated by Boganathar. The "tapas" (intensive yogic practice) was done for long periods without

a break… The samadhi experiences deepened gradually over the months with Boganathar. They reached a cli-

max with a vision of Lord Kumaraswamy (Murugan) in his form as the eternal youth. He realized that he was

now incarnating the consciousness of Lord Murugan.

Under Boganathar's guidance he thoroughly analyzed the ten systems of Indian philosophy and came to under-

stand and appreciate the full significance of Siddhantham. The Siddhas discovered that through a progressive

surrender of their being, their ego, and their very lives, the Divinity would in some exceptional cases descend

and transform them from limited, independent, habitual modes of being into modes which are fully conscious

and harmonious expressions of the directing Godhead. Such a transformative process was expedited by the in-

tensive practice of various Kriyas, including hatha yoga asanas, meditation, mantras, and bhakti yogas, but

above all Kriya Kundalini Pranayama.

Boganathar inspired his disciple, Babaji, to seek this objective of Siddhantha Yoga, and so directed him to seek

initiation into Kriya Kundalini Pranayama from the legendary Siddha Agastyar at Courtrallam in the Pothigai

Hills of Tamil Nadu.

BABAJI AND AGASTYAR

Babaji travelled on foot to Courtrallam and, on arriving there at the Shakti peetam, one of the sixty-four shrines

throughout India dedicated to God as the Divine Mother, he made a solemn vow to remain at that spot until

Agastyar would initiate him into the secrets of yoga.

After fixing himself in a particular asana, or meditation posture, so as to steel himself for the coming ordeal, Ba-

baji closed his eyes and began to pray. He prayed with all of his body, heart, mind and soul for days. He prayed

that Agastyar would come and initiate him.

On the forty eighth day, when Babaji was on the verge of complete collapse, with great longing, he simply re-

peated over and over again the name "Agastyar". Suddenly, the eminent Siddha, stepped out of the nearby forest

and came up to where Babaji was sitting in prayer. Agastyar's heart was melted by the love of Nagaraj. Agastyar

called Nagaraj's name in a soft voice and then embraced him. After giving him water and food, Agastyar initi-

ated Nagaraj into the secrets of Kriya Kundalini pranayama, or "Vasi Yogam" as it is otherwise referred to in the

writings of the Siddhas. This powerful breathing technique is the crystallization of some of the most important

teachings of the Tamil Yoga Siddhas.

Agastyar emphasized the strict conditions under which it was to be practiced and its potential for awakening the

higher levels of consciousness, spiritual enlightenment, and ultimately the transformation of all five bodies: the

physical, vital, mental, intellectual and spiritual. He then directed Babaji to go to Badrinath in the upper ranges

of the Himalayan mountains, and to become the greatest Siddha the world had ever known.

SORUBA SAMADHI AT BADRINATH

Badrinath is situated in the Himalayan mountains at an altitude of 10,243 feet. a few miles south of the border of

Tibet. Joshimath, the nearest town situated twenty-four kilometers south of Badrinath, is named after one of the

four famous monasteries (maths) established by Adi Shankaracharya. Badrinath has been sanctified for thou-

sands of years, by the hermitages of saints, yogis, rishis and siddhas, as well as by the presence of a great temple

dedicated to Sri Badrinarayan (Lord Vishnu).

Page 70: Yogam 2012

68

Nahfk;

Babaji made the long pilgrimage to Badrinath and then spent eighteen "long, lonely months" practicing inten-

sively all the yogic Kriyas taught to him by his gurus Agastyar and Boganathar. After eighteen months of ardu-

ous yogic discipline, Nagaraj entered a state of soruba samadhi wherein the Divinity descended merged with and

transformed the spiritual, intellectual, mental, vital and physical bodies. The physical body ceased to age and

sparkled with a golden lustre of divine incorruptibility.

The attainment of soruba samadhi is an indication of the extent to which the individual has surrendered to the

Divine Will and has allowed It to descend and transform the recalcitrant human nature, on all planes. Through

such great manifestations, God then works silently on the gross physical plane, assisting all those who seek to

evolve to the higher life. Babaji, since attaining this state, has made it his mission to assist suffering humanity in

their quest for God-realization. Usually, he has done so anonymously. Those helped by him generally do not

know the source of assistance. Babaji's mission has included the assistance of prophets). In the case of a few

great souls, namely, Adi Shankaracharya, Kabir, Lahiri Mahasaya, Yogi S.A.A. Ramaiah and V.T.Neelakantan,

Babaji Himself has appeared and given them initiation
