YEOVAL CENTRAL SCHOOL

Term 2 Week 4

18 May 2020

Together we inspire Together we learn Together we achieve

At Yeoval Central School we inspire all to be responsible, respectful learners. Working together to achieve and grow.

Phase 1: Week 4 It was lovely to see so many of our students from K-10 return on their scheduled day last week, also to see

Years 11 and 12 each day. At this stage, we are still in Phase 1 and I will inform parents and caregivers

once we have more information.

This week, our teachers will be working on designing the Semester 1 reports. They will look a different to

our usual reports reflecting the current teaching and learning environment. I will be seeking feedback

from the P&C before we finalise the formatting of the reports.

Over the course of last week and this week, I have been contacting all families to gain feedback on areas

we can continue to support your children. It has been lovely to receive your positive comments and areas

in which we can improve. I know we are all hoping we can return to ‘normal’ in the near future.

I would like to thank our cleaners Serina and Glen who are ensuring our school environment is hygienic

throughout the day and ready for the next day’s learning. We have plenty of cleaning and hygiene supplies

for your children in each room.

ZOOM UPDATE

To support our returning

students and maintain our high

standard of care, we ask that

you be aware of possible

delays of up to 10 minutes in

commencing our Zoom lessons

scheduled after breaks. This

allows time for logging on and

daily hygiene routines.

Option 1: 20, 000 step challenge per day

This option is the most challenging…20, 000 steps EVERY day for the next WEEK!! Merits will

definitely go to those who can prove they have conquered this one.

Option 2: Weekly step challenge

This option allows you to set your own weekly goal for a step challenge, you may want to

get to 20,000 steps over the week instead of doing it every day.

Option 3: 1km – 2km – 3km walk

If you have lots of space, you may be able to mark out a 1km track and then walk/run it

over

the week as many times as you can. Please be careful of uneven ground or trip hazards.

Option 4: 1km – 2km – 3km on the treadmill

This option allows you to compete from the comfort of your house if you have a treadmill.
