The VenueSingapore is a city that is constantly evolving, reinventing, and reimagining itself, with people who are passionate about creating new possibilities. While it was once a humble shing village inhabited by indigenous settlement, Singapore is now a bustling cosmo- politan city populated with high-rise buildings and landscape gardens.

Singapore is a city fuelled by passion and pride. Around every corner, incredible experiences are being crafted, cooked, painted, designed, grown or built by locals who share a common trait: passion. Like them, you’ll be empowered to do what you love in this city of limitless possibilities - whether you are a foodie, explorer, collector, action seeker, or culture shaper.

The story of Singapore is one of trials, tribulations and triumphs. In a short span of just over 50 years, we have evolved from a colony to a city-state with our own unique identity, forged by a spirit of never settling. And it’s this spirit that’s imbued into the archi-tectural wonders, lush parks, proud

heritage, world-class attractions and amazing food of the cosmopolitan metropolis you see today.

Located in Southeast Asia, Singapore has a land area of 721.5 square kilometres, making her one of the smallest countries in the world and the smallest in the region – hence the title, “The Little Red Dot”. Even though we are small in size, Singapore commands an enormous presence in the world today with its free trade economy and highly ecient workforce. Also, Singapore’s strategic location in the region has enabled to become a central sea port along major shipping routes.

Presently, Singapore’s population stands at about 5.6 million people, with English as the main language. Singapore is a multi-racial and multi-cultural society, and there are four major races – the Chinese, Malay, Indian, and the Eurasian community. Each community oers a dierent perspective of life in Singapore in terms of culture, religion, food and language.

Singapore Prison Service and SCORE look forward towelcoming you to the beautiful, vibrant city of Singapore.

The Singapore Prison Service (SPS) is an agency under the Ministry of Home Aairs. As a key member of the Home Team, SPS protects the society through the safe custody and rehabilitation of oenders, co- operating in prevention and aftercare. Guided by the vision of being Captains in the lives of oenders committed to custody in Singapore, SPS aspires to be a catalyst who is instrumental in steering them toward being responsible citizens, with the help of their families and their community.

Singapore Corporation of Rehabilitative Enterprises (SCORE) was established as a statutory board under the Ministry of Home Aairs on 1 April 1976. SCORE plays an important role in the Singapore correctional system by creating a safe and secure Singapore through the provision of rehabilitation and aftercare services to inmates and ex-oenders. SCORE seeks to enhance the employability of oenders and prepare them for their eventual reinte-gration into the national workforce by focusing on four main building blocks of training, work, employment assistance and community engagement.
