through Facebook

and Twitter

the government.

been criticised for

the ability to let

extremist groups

set up social media

accounts. Groups

like the EDL

(English Defence

League) have

organised marches

through Facebook.

online to support

others and help

with common

interests. Those

who share the

same hobbies often

set up sites for

others to share

ideas or support

other people.

online for

entertainment

purposes. This may

be using forums or

going on social

media sites to

share information

Many people go online to have a

discussion with others. It is often lively

and people can discuss many different

topics.

However, what is the difference

between online discussion and face to

face communication?
