Science PSHE

Brazil is also very famous for its rainforest and is home to many animals.

Choose a rainforest animal from the mat above, draw and write 3 facts about it. Example: What do they eat? Where do they live in the rainforest… trees or on the ground? How long do they live for?

And Breathe! Sometimes when we get a little upset or worried we need to find a way to calm down. A good way to do this is to take some big deep breaths in and out. This

helps us to feel better. Click on the link below to make a windmill. When you're feeling a little upset you can take some big deep breaths and blow your windmill

to help make you feel just like yourself again.

Spelling/Phonics

This week’s focus is Tricky Words. These are words that you can’t sound out and you just need to memorise how to read and write them. Using a piece of paper draw or fold the paper into 4 columns like the sheet below. In the first column write this week's 4 tricky words. In the second column look, say and copy the word. In the third column cover over the words then write it yourself. NO PEEPING! In the fourth column check your spelling. If you are correct give yourself a tick in the check box if not write the word correctly.

Write 2 sentences using each of the tricky words in your workbook.

Let's play! Tricky Word Snap!

You will need: Card or paper cut into rectangles Pencil or pen.

Write 4 copies of each tricky word onto paper or card then place them into 2 piles. With a partner you take turns to turn over a card and say the tricky word. If the tricky words are the same it's a SNAP! The first player to say SNAP wins the cards. The player with the most tricky word cards at the end of the game is the winner.
