l. OBJETIVO

1.1. El propósito de este documento esfacilitar la exportación de manzana deCanadá a México y asegurar uniformidadde procedimientos entre losparticipantes.

1.2. 3.1. REGISTRATION PROCEDURES

3.1.1. Companies interested inexports to México, must register onIndustry associations. Theassociations will provide toRegional Plant Protection Officersand Plant Health and ProductionDivision of the CFIA the list ofregistered companies.

3.1.2. Each treatment facility willregister each Controlled Atmosphere(CA) room that will be used for coldtreatment under controlledatmosphere conditions for export toMexico. Registrations means tosubmit an application to CFIAthrough the provincial industryorganization which includes:

a) Name, address and location oftreatment facility

b) Individual CA room identification ie.building, number, letter, llame.

3.4.2. Si el área de empaque seencuentra fuera de las instalacionesde tratamiento la manzana deberá sermovilizada en transporte cerrado.

3.5. PACKING PROCEDURES.

3.6. PROCEDIMIENTOS DE ALMACEN

3.6.1. Debe designarse un cuarto fríoseparado una sección claramenteseparada para almacenar solo manzanastratadas después del tratamiento yempaque.

3.6.2. La manzana certificada debeprotegerse adecuadamente contrainfestación o re-infestación durantesu almacenaj e y no deberá estar encontacto físico con fruta no tratada.

3.7. PROCEDIMIENTOS DE CERTIFICACIONDE EMBARQUES E INSPECTOR DE LA CFIA.

3.7.1. Solo las manzanas que cumplanlos requisitos del plan de trabajo secertificarán.

3.7. SHIPMENT CERTIFICATION.PROCEDURES AND CFIA INSPECTOR.

3.8. SHIPPING PROCEDURES

3.8.1. Shipments destined for export toMexico must contain only apples meetingthe work plan requirements. Shipments ofapples with any other commodities willnot be accepted for entry to Mexico.

3.8.2. Exporters shall carry out acomplete shipping verification to ensurethat:

En casos donde se detecte una larva viva,el embarque será detenido hasta que sedetermine su situación cuarentenaria. Elexportador puede optar por esperar elresultado o retornar el embarque a Canadá.

4.4.2. SAGARPA/DGIF will inspect up to 2percent of the cartons in the shipmentand will cut 1% of the fruit in theselected boxes for live quarantine andnon-quarantine pests, in packed fruit andin conveyances.

4.5. ADMISSION

4.5.1. Only shipmentsdocumentation, packingconveyance requirements willallowed for entry to Mexico,when there is no detection of:

5. HOLDING AND REJECTION PROCEDURES

5.1. HOLDING OF SHIPMENTS

In cases where live pests are detected,the shipment will be held until itsquarantine status is determined. Theexporter may elect to wait for results orreturn the shipment to Callada.

5.2. RECHAZO DE EMBARQUES

En casos donde SAGARPA!DGSV detecteproblemas en el punto de origen con lasactividades operacionales del plan detrabajo, SAGARPA/DGSV buscará lacooperación de CFIA, quién a su vezproveerá el apoyo necesario como serequiera.

La industria será responsable deproveer todos los fondos, equipos ymateriales necesarios para queSAGARPA!DGSV lleve a caboprocedimientos correctivos cuando seidentifiquen problemas durante laoperación de este plan de trabajo.

SAGARPA mantendrá una lista deinstalaciones de tratamiento que hayansido verificadas y consideradas comosatisfactorias. Una copia de la listaserá proporcionada a la CFIA y lamantendrá la Plant Health and ProductionDivision como la lista de referencia parainstalaciones de tratamiento aprobadas.
