DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA COUNSELORS: This intermediate activity is approved for 6.25 clock hours of continuing education instruction. The District of Columbia Municipal Regulations for Professional Counseling recognizes courses and providers that are approved by the APA. A certificate of attendance will be awarded at the end of the program to counselors who complete the program evaluation, to submit to their state board.

VIRGINIA COUNSELORS: This intermediate activity is approved for 6.25 clock hours of continuing education instruction. The Virginia Board of Counseling recognizes courses and providers that are approved by the APA or NAADAC. A certificate of attendance will be awarded at the end of the program to counselors who complete the program evaluation, to submit to their state board.

EDUCATORS/TEACHERS: This course is designed to qualify toward your professional development requirement. The program is 6.25 clock hours in length.

PENNSYLVANIA SCHOOL PERSONNEL: 6.5 ACT 48 Hours will be made available through Capital Area Intermediate Unit (CAIU). Those requesting ACT 48 Hours will be required to sign in and provide their Pennsylvania Certification Number and will receive instructions at the seminar on how to create a free online account with CAIU; only those individuals who have a CAIU online account are eligible to receive ACT 48 Hours.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS & OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANTS: PESI, Inc. is an AOTA Approved Provider of continuing education. Provider #: 3322. Full attendance at this course qualifies for 6.0 contact hours or .6 CEUs in the Category of Domain of OT and Occupational Therapy Process. Partial credit will be issued for partial attendance. Scott D. Walls, MA, LIPC, CCMHC, spent 15 years employed as a behavior specialist and psychotherapist in the public schools. He is a mental health counselor in private practice in Lincoln, NE. Scott holds State certification as a professional counselor as well as national certification through NBCC as a National Certified Counselor and a National Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor and is also identified as a Diplomate through AMHCA as a Child and Adolescent Specialist.

Since 1998, Scott has provided therapy and consultation services for children, teens and families in the Lincoln area. In addition, Scott has provided hundreds of trainings throughout the country for teachers, administrators and case management staff of various agencies.

Scott was a co-founder of a domestic violence group for female offenders and was also a practicing therapist and case manager supervisor for a special project in Lincoln that offered treatment for torture and trauma survivors for refugees and immigrants. In addition to his duties as a therapist and consultant, Scott is the founder and owner of the Lincoln Karate Clinic, Inc. This karate school offers specialized karate lessons for children ages 3-7 and youth ages 8 and up.
