Objectives:

Identify and quantify recently completed and current projects at EU and national level in the following subject areas:

• Green vessel design and operations• Innovative vessels and floating structures• Innovative marine equipment and systems

• Enhanced marine safety and security

With a view to promoting future job opportunities in the maritime R&D and innovative product industry

Aim- Development of methodology and analysis tools to identify RTD projects leading to innovative product development and employment of researchers

Aim- Identify relevant projects applying the methodology and tools developed in Task 3-1 and outcomes of WP2

Establishment of database for innovative product development

In order to identify projects:

• Sources- Databases of European Commission FP4, FP5, FP6- Home page search

• Data collection methods applied - e.g questionnaires/interviews etc

Aim- Data collected on completing Task 3-2 will be analysed and report developed

Analysis and Reporting

•Tools identified in Task 3-1 will be used to accurately analyse data

•Results will be presented in a report uncovering the potential research outputs for innovative product development highlighting the job opportunities in R&D in the maritime industry
