◦Root Connection help…The origin of affinity comes from Latin terms used to describe individuals related by marriage. Quite literally, “affinity” was used to describe the END of BOUNDARIES between two people. In this sense, affinity means the END of separation between a person and that which he or she is drawn to.

Finite (adj)◦having limits or bounds

◦They only had a finite list of choices and were limited as to what they could write their essay about.

Infinity (n)◦the state or quality of being infinite

◦It appeared that the ocean went on for infinity and never ended.

Infinitesimal (adj)◦extremely small

◦Scientists often study the world of the infinitesimal under microscopes because the organisms are so small.
