3. TRAVEL ITINERARY You have four days in your World’s Fair country. What would you do? What would you go see? What would you eat? What attractions would you visit? What kinds of people would you meet?

! Choose four activities for your stay. Write at least three sentences for each, answering the questions posed above. Use your imagination!!

! If you’d like, include a small map showing where you plan on traveling around the country.

Travel Itinerary Example:

Day 1: I will arrive in the United States after flying from Paris to Atlanta’s Hartsfield Airport. The airport will probably have lots of people from all over the world, some coming to see the U.S. and others headed to other places. Today I plan on seeing a Braves game at Turner Field before taking a flight to New York.

Day 2: After flying to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport from Atlanta, I will venture to my hotel in Times Square. I’m sure all of the lights will be overwhelming!! I’ve heard there are really nice people on the subway. Maybe I’ll make some good friends! In the evening, I plan on seeing Wicked on Broadway.

Day 3: After enjoying a good New York bagel, I’ll head back to the airport and board a plane to Washington, D.C. I plan on seeing the White House, Capitol, the Library of Congress, and maybe even travel over to Georgetown University. I’ve heard the Hoyas are pretty good at basketball.

Day 4: From Washington, I will fly to Chicago to see the United States’ heartland. I’ve never seen dairy cows before, and want to go to a farm. This is a really important part of the United States’ economy, so no trip would be complete without a visit. After that, I plan on having dinner in Chicago and flying back to Paris from O’Hare International Airport. It’s been an awesome four days, although exhausting!!
