Workshop: How to prepare a good Progress Report

Practical Exercises: OUTPUT INDICATORS

Exercise: Please have a look at the following Core Outputs and try to assign them to the corresponding Type of Action and provide background information on the figures:

1. The investment for the “Revitalisation of the City Park” (Core output 3.2.1) embedded in the pilot action for remediation of the polluted sites based on the test of a newly developed technology was carried out and the new park was opened to the public by September 2012. The investment from the C.E. programme amounts to 70.000.-€ and resulted in one new job created.

2. The “Toolbox for land use management in metropolitan regions” (Core output 4.2.7) has been finalised during the current reporting period. Linked to this tool 1 training for project partners has been carried out. Location and date of the workshops see output 4.2.5.

3. The “Strategy for improvement of long distance-rail transport” (Core output 3.3.10) has been accepted by the Project Steering Committee at the last partnership meeting.

4. During the last steering group meeting (22 October 2012, Mantova) presidents of all participating regions signed a letter of intent for the “CEE Renewable Energy Network” in the premises of the City Hall (Core output 6.5.4)

5. The “Feasibility study for a transnational gas pipeline for improving chemical logistics in CEE” (Core output 3.2.3) has been finalised paving the way for an infrastructure investment of 25 Mio. € endorsing 200 new jobs.

6. The “Action plan for flood protection” (Core output 3.2.5) has been approved by the regional council of all partners by 22 October 2012.

7. Two of the “Cases studies on commercialisation of research results” have succeeded in attracting and leveraging private and/or public funding. The exact amounts are not at hand but amount to at least 1,5 Mio. Euro. For example ICTC (Core output 4.3.4. supported by PP8) has raised over 1 million Euro of public funding for further research and commercialisation activities, the case FGDE (Core output 4.3.1. supported by PP2) has raised over 0,5 million Euro.

Background information on the figures above:

A1

The “Strategy for improvement of long distance-rail transport” (Core output 3.3.10) has been accepted by the Project Steering Committee at the last partnership meeting. The “Action plan for flood protection” (Core output 3.2.5) has been approved by the regional council of all partners by 22 October 2012.
