WORKSHOP FOR TEACHERS OF MATHEMATICS AT INDIANAUNIVERSITY
Indiana University is offering for the seventh time its ^’Workshop for Teachersof Mathematics." This is a two weeks^ workshop beginning at 2:00 o^clock June21 and closing at 4,: 00 P.M. July 3. The program consists of three types of activi-ties. Representatives from industry, business, science and related fields will lec-ture each day on problems pertaining to mathematics. An instruction and activ-ity period will be held in the mathematics laboratory where workshop membersmay try their hands at construction. There will also be group discussions andconference work on special problems of interest to the different members of thegroup.Two and one-half hours of graduate credit are offered for those who wish it.
They should enroll for Education S607, Improving the Teaching of High SchoolMathematics, at 1:30, June 21, at the Administration building. Those who donot want university credit may participate without charge.A tentative program may be obtained about the first of June by writing to the
