Woodcraft Folk is a national charity runby volunteers. We develop young people’s self confidence and awareness of the world, encouraging equality, friendship and cooperation.
Weekly groups, weekend trips and summer camps are affordable and open to all. Outdoor activities, crafts, songs and games promote big ideas like sustainability and democracy. We have five age groups:
Woodchips: under 6 yearsElfins: 6-9 years
Pioneers: 10-12 yearsVenturers: 13-15 years
DFs: 16-20 years
DFs run theirown activities
as well as helping with younger
groups.
We support our members to celebrate and question the world around them.
We encourage young people to participate, take the lead, and make decisions about their programme and
how the organisation is run.
We empower them to become active citizens and practice cooperation and teamwork through all of our activities.
We’ve been running since 1925 and we’re still going strong!
