Name of Organization: The American International School Egypt (AISE) Location: Cairo, Egypt Type of Organization: School Organization Type of Stakeholders Serves: Students Grade Levels : Prek Grade 12 (IB in Grades 11 and Grade 12 ) GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT ORGANIZATION 3. Years of Operation: 25 years of operation with 2014- 2015 being its 25 year Structure: 1 of 9 Schools under ESOL Schools Organization (Educational Services Overseas Limited Director of ESOL Board of Directors -AISE Director Principals (1 Early childhood, 1 Elementary, 1 Middle School, 1 High School) 2 Vice Principal (All Grade Levels Except Early Childhood) Teachers (Classroom, and Specialists including Arabic Teachers) Support Staff Community Members Parents Students HISTORY AND STRUCTURE OF AISE 4. Culture of AIS reflects a United States Model though many of the staff, students, and parents are Egyptian. Holidays such as Thanksgiving , Christmas , Valentines Day are all celebrated as they would be United States with some Islamic Holidays being recognized by days off. Professional Dress is expected by all staff as well as professional conduct. Good communication and strong relationships behaviors is strongly evident in the culture with task related behaviors being utilized. It is a learning culture is strongly encouraged for students and staff alike. There are many resources available including 4 computer labs and smart boards in every classroom. AISE Logo is the Letters with blue in a circle found throughout school and on student uniforms which are blue and white (except grade 12 who get to pick their own colors). = CULTURE OF AISE 5. MISSION STATEMENT OF AISE : The American International School in Egypt (AISE) provides a comprehensive and challenging American and international education that fosters informed and engaged local, regional and global citizenship. We inspire students to be lifelong learners who contribute positively within a diverse and changing world.. VISION STATEMENT OF AISE: Raising Student Academic Achievement Every Day, Every Way! Currently AISE is in a change process in the human resource lens with changes being made in administration leadership team. The director and all 4 principals for the different grade levels (Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle School and High School) are being changed over with staff from already working in AISE and are aware and part of culture and structure. This change in administration was announced in January 2014 and is part of innovation strategy to spread the expertise throughout the ESOL School Organization not just AISE with taking 2012 -2014 administration team and placing them in different ESOL Schools. Predicted change in Key Administrators will be successful due to the strong learning culture with strengths in Good Communication and Strong Relationship Behaviors Utilized. There appears to a buy in as well with all stakeholders (Staff, Parents, Community Members ,Students) as well as stakeholders have had a voice through out change process due to positive planning , implementation of key change agent, Mr. Bill Delbrugge, Director AISE PREDICTION OF WHETHER AISE CHANGE PROCESS WITH KEY ADMINISTRATORS WILL BE SUCCESSFUL OR FAILURE 11.
