My name is Anita Kenarsary. I am currently a sophomore atShorewood High School, in my spare time I enjoy reading. Thesummer of 2011, my parents, brother and I immigrated to theUnited States from Iran. My father wanted my brother and I to re-cieve an education in America. I am currently in the IntermediateGraphic Design class. When designing my cover, I incorporatedexamples I liked from past covers with my ideas to create this cur-rent Winter Spring 2013 cover. I feel very lucky to have had mycover chosen. With Mr. Zimpel’s help, I now look at art differently,

I look with more detail and try to find new things from it!

MEET OuR COvER DESIGNER...WElCOME!

The Shorewood High School Graphic Design (GD) Program is comprised of an In-troductory level, an Intermediate level and an Advanced level. Within the programstudents are taught various computer softwares. The higher-level classes aretaught in a design studio atmosphere wherein clients come to the class to presenttheir ideas to the students and they work on projects that are both school based aswell as community based. Students have the option to take Introductory GD at thefreshman level, and after, taking Advanced GD, and the first level of Advanced GD,they can take multiple semesters of Advanced until they graduate. This is an espe-cially helpful option for those students who plan on going into Graphic Design, Ad-vertising, or other Communication related fields at the college level. - Jeff Zimpel,SHS Graphic Design Teacher
