• You need to have on proper attire: – Top – Bottom – snowpants!! You will be “sitting” in the snow!– Footwear

• At the end of class time meet in classroom or where indicated by instructor.

• Participation (5)– Are you participating the entire class time?

– Less participation, means less points

• Conduct (5)– Using equipment properly

– Storing equipment properly

– Appropriate language

– Showing respect toward instructor & classmates

Extra Credit

• If you have your own equipment for:– Cross country skiing– Downhill skiing– Ice skating– Snowshoeing– Ice fishing

• If you wear mittens or gloves

Cross-Country Skiing

Alpine skiing ( or “downhill skiing”) is the sport of sliding down snow-covered hills on skis with fixed-heel bindings. Keep in mind the following:
