So, what are the main giveaways when it

comes to knowing whether or not you

need to replace your windows? Well, we

looking into replacing the windows in your home.

If You Feel a Draft Window’s warp overtime, especially if they are sitting in a wooden frame in the Rocky Mountain

weather, but if it becomes noticeable and the inside of your home feels like the outdoor temperature

during the winter, then it may be that time. While even the best windows let some air into your home,

it shouldn’t necessarily be something you can “feel.” Also, some home improvement stores will tell

you to simply replace the weather stripping, but that isn’t a permanent fix and probably doesn’t come

with a warranty in the event that it doesn’t work.

If they’re Tough to Open and Close If you can’t open and close your windows properly, then it’s time to get new ones – that’s window

care 101. If your window frames are made of metal or wood, you’re both at risk for experiencing

warping, rotting, or rusting. All three of those components can make it difficult for you to open as well

as close your windows. Also, your windows have that is called a “balance,” and this balance is what

keep the window propped up while it’s open – if that begins to fail, then your window it as risk of

slamming shut which can be hazardous for anyone in the home.

If there is Condensation One of the easiest windows to read is double pane windows. If you have double panned windows,

then condensation will build up in between the pieces of glass. If you can see condensation forming,

improvement store, but to call window replacement professionals. Also, if you happen to see

what looks like a white fog covering your window, then it is calcium deposits from condensation that

you haven’t caught.
