Aramids are, above all, used for safety-related purposes. For tire cord, sails, bullet-proof vests and fi re-protection asbestos substi-tutes, for example. Viscose is predominantly deployed in tire cord for high-speed and tires for heavy agricultural vehicles. Polyethylene is used in ballistics, in the manufacture of ropes and in medical applications. Fiber composites are a further major area of applica-tion: the material is used wherever light, yet stable, structures are required. In automobile construction and in civil aviation, in sports, in wind power systems and in architecture.

We have the perfect solutions for the manufacture of the primary fi bers – tire cord, ceramic fi bers, aramid and also UHMWPE (poly-ethylene).

With the automatic WinOro precision winder and its manual counterpart, the WinDuro, the WinTrax carbon winder and the automatic tape and filament winder WinTape, we have the perfect winders for these high-perfor-mance fibers. Gentle yarn handling and perfect package build, energy efficiency and a high degree of cost effectiveness – especially in the case of the two-cop winder variant – all make the series perfect solu-tion for demanding specialty yarns.

WinOro, WinDuro, WinTrax and WinTape are convincing in terms of Their flexibility: available as manual or automatic solutions, one- or two-cop. Their process window: WinOro und WinDuro process viscose, aramid,

WinOro

WinOro is the automatic counterpart of the WinDuro. There are three different versions of the precision winder available. The WinOro-S comes as a one- and two-cop winder. The one-cop WinOro-M scores highly in terms of its efficiency: with its tube maga-zine and take-up cradle, up to two yarn transfers are possible without operating staff.

WinTrax

The WinTrax winder was developed specifically for sensitive fibers such as carbon and ceramic fibers. WinTrax is the solution for the economic production of yarns of the very highest quality with a simulta-neously perfect package build. Flexible, simple to operate and with minimum maintenance require-ments, WinTrax is available either as a manual or as an automatic winder.

WinTape

A completely new winder concept enters the market – the WinTape. Rotated by 90 degrees, featuring just one chuck, but with short suction of the yarn during bobbin transfer, the fully-automatic winder offers two operating sides. However, it requires no additional operating staff – on the contrary! WinTape not only saves space, it is also perfect for fully automating production processes. With tube magazine, yarn end fixation and parking position for full bobbins, it fulfills all the prerequisites for an optionally-installable conveyor belt.
