We know informal learning is valuable but I need to demonstrate we are consistently delivering value
This is interesting stuff but what does this mean in practice? Where should we be spending our limited budget?

How does this play out around
here?
Not sure I agree,
because… I used this when I was preparing a
client presentation…
This has changed the way I develop
proposals for…
Combined methods of learning enable more challenging subjects to be delivered through higher levels of engagement
Diagnostics to target your learning needs
Personal but not isolating
Learning path design methodology
Access • Gentle but interesting introduction to the online learning experience • Motivation through comfort with the online environment
Socialisation • Creating a sense of ‘learning community’ through early opportunities to interact with other learners. • Activities designed to encourage dialogue and sense of group experience
Formal Learning Experiences • Asynchronous and real time activities • Learners require two types of interaction: interaction with the content and interaction with people
Knowledge construction • Taking the concepts from formal materials and interaction with others to create their own learning. • Achieved through application of learning in the workplace, discussion and joint knowledge development.
Development • Learners actively contribute to their own learning and that of the group • They build on ideas explored through the learning path and can adapt them to meet the individual needs of their context
• They also contribute to the overall learning resources through their own reflections and research

why it’s important… Change can be very stressful for individuals going through it and yet, it is a necessity of the type of business we are in. It is an indication of the success and we will see waves of change as new customers join us. They will come at different times and with different needs. It is vital then, that we embrace change as an indicator of success and develop your capabilities to cope with change. Change can feel disorienting and can generate very negative feelings. This is part of a cycle and understanding change cycles will help you in coping well.
