• One teacher was paid over the summer to create the curriculum which included the Year At a Glance, Weekly Lesson Plans, PowerPoints, Assessments, etc.

Lab Rotation/TSI Prep Materials

One ELA teacher tutored in lab during 4th period. Teachers rotated taking their students once a week to the lab for TSI

tutoring/practice.

• TSI Reading 1st attempt in October – 68/125 passed (54%)• December resulted in giving the TSI Writing to those who

passed the Reading and the rest of the students retested in Reading

• Fall Semester: Resulted in 70% of the students being college ready

• TSI Reading Results by May:• 108 passed Reading• 92 passed Writing• 19 passed Math

11Next steps…

• As principal of a comprehensive 5A high school, I will be implementing a College Transition Course for all 10th grade students. Students opting to not enroll, must have a signed letter from their parents.

• We will follow the same curriculum, the same TSI Prep and the same expectations.
