The PHS Cosmetology Program is proud to announce that the following students have passed their cosmetology exams and are well on their way to becoming successful cosmetologists. Congrats to Callie Addkison, Monia Bradford, Alana Johnson, Vianey Gloria, Minerba Galvan, Jenny Cotten, Jasmin Ramirez, and from Rusk, Lexie Hendrix, Shelby Higgins, Emily Marquez, and Emily Clark.
Congratulations to Mary Ellie Homann on being accepted to sing in both New York at Carnegie Hall, and in London at the Royal Festive Hall this summer. Mary Ellie is currently an 8th grade student at Palestine Junior High School. She has received Superior and Excellent ratings at Solo & Ensemble Contests the past two years. She has also been part of the Region 21 All-Region Treble Choir in both her 7th and 8th grade school years.
PHS students had a fabulous trip to Rome and Florence, Italy and Meteora, and Athens, Greece. The students toured the Vatican and were amazed with the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Cathedral. The Coliseum and the Roman Forum made Rome a breathtaking experience. The cruise to Meteora, Greece was fast and then the group toured ancient Delphi high in the mountains and the Parthe-non and other ruins on the Acropolis
in Athens.
Welcome back from Spring Break!
