Remembrance Day –Poetry Writing

This term the Year 5/6 students have been exploring and experimenting with writing various forms

of poetry that have included Haiku, Cinquain, Diamante, Quatrain, Acrostic and Shape/Concrete

poems. Their poetry writing has been amazing and inspirational. In particular, the students applied

their poetry writing skills to create some moving poems to commemorate Remembrance Day.

Thank You!!

As the first year of Wilandra Rise Primary School draws to a close, we would like to thank all the

parents and family members for supporting the school staff, and importantly, the students

through what has been an amazing year. We would like to wish all our Year 6 students every

success for their secondary school journey and look forward to seeing the Year 5 cohort return-

ing in 2018 to take up the responsibilities as the senior students of the school. Finally, we would

like to wish all families a safe and festive holiday period, and a Happy New Year!!!
