Winter Makes No Difference to the Bugs

Wichita Falls, Texas: “Christmas is coming, and that means one thing in the pest management business”, says Kevin Brasket, President of Texoma Pest Management of Wichita Falls Texas. He continued, “Many people think there will be a slowdown in their pest problems, but winter only puts many pests into hiding. With the weather we had last summer, we are going to experience greater infestations with some of the other pests.”

He is advising people “to get ready for what is coming this winter, which is expected to be a bumper season for termites, mice, and rats,” he said.

Each year, the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) in Airfax, VA, publishes its Bug Barometer; a measure of what will happen to bug infestations during the winter across the United States. This year, for the Wichita Falls, Texas area, they predict a significant upswing of termites, mice, and rats that Kevin Brasket states, “Affect us all year long but are now going to hit us even harder this winter.”
