    The 2016 Michigan WIC Training and Educational Conference is a two day training event. Attended by more than 750 staff from every local WIC agency in Michigan, participants come ready to learn about how to provide the best services to families seeking nutritional care for their children. Participants hear the most up-to-date educational information and learn new skills in keynote and breakout sessions. As part of their educational experience, participants enjoy networking with, learning from, forming relationships with, and buying products and services from vendors like you.

    Each conference attendee will receive a high quality Participants Guide to all the scheduled events. Advertising space is available in the Participants Guide through a mobile application.

    The State of Michigan WIC Division would like to invite you to register for a “One on One” educational workshop opportunity as part of your level of participation. This event will take place on Monday, May 9th @ 6:30 p.m. in the WIC Plaza.

    EXHIBITOR INFORMATION

    EXHIBIT HOURSExhibits will be open on Tuesday, May 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Wednesday, May 11 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Networking will take place before and after sessions and during the evening reception.

    ASSIGNMENT OF SPACE

    Space will be assigned in the order in which registrations are received. Payment is due before the conference. You will receive a letter confi rming your exhibit space within two weeks of the conference. Additional tables are available at an additional charge of $100 (if space allows). Unless otherwise requested, all exhibitors will receive one 6’ x 3’ table.

    FEES AND RESERVATIONS

    To reserve exhibit space, complete and return the enclosed form with payment. Checks should be made payable to MPHI. Please note: There are no refunds for cancellations or no-shows. Space does sell out.

    INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL

    The exhibit area will be open for installation on Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday morning from 6:00 to 8:30 a.m. All exhibits should be operational by 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Dismantling should NOT begin before 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

    SHIPPINGArrangements and expenses for the shipment of materials are the exhibitor’s responsibility. A shipping form will be provided upon request. Contact our offi ce for additional information.

    LIABILITY Michigan Public Health Institute assumes no responsibility for any loss, injury, or damage occurring to an exhibitor or his/her property.

    RECEPTION AND DOOR PRIZES

    There will be a reception on Tuesday, May 10 from 4:45 to 6:00 p.m. in the exhibitor area, providing time for participants to network and share information with exhibitors. All attendees are invited. The WIC Division will hold a Door Prize drawing at the reception. Exhibitors are asked to donate a gift for this drawing. Donations can be provided at check-in during the fi rst day of the conference.

    EXHIBITOR CHECK-INAll exhibitors must register at the exhibitor area before setting up their exhibit. Table location will be assigned and packets provided upon check-in.

    Please Note: No weapons, alcohol, drugs, and/or drug paraphernalia may be sold or displayed by any exhibitor/vendor during the conference. Exhibits and vendor’s purpose or goals must not confl ict with that of the conference. Displaying items that are culturally inappropriate or disrespectful is not acceptable.

    Conference attendees are responsible for their own individual room reservations and cost.

    NOTE: The WIC Division will not pay for additional lodging, travel expense costs or the hotel fi tness center.

    SCHEDULE OF EVENTSWe invite you to attend the 2016 Michigan WIC Training and Educational Conference. Join us for an exciting two day conference format that brings together all WIC clinic staff from across the State of Michigan. Conference Day One off ers an opening plenary followed by an informative block session. After lunch, all participants will attend two out of the three concurrent sessions. Conference Day Two starts things off with a highly motivated morning activity which will lead into the Kellogg Breakfast. Conference Day Two will also allow participants the opportunity to choose a third concurrent session based on their interests. We then end our educational experience with the closing block session.
