Newly Registered Nurses’ Handbook

Advertise within this A5 spiral bound handbook and engage with newly registered nurses and midwives.

Advertising enables your organisation to build brand awareness, showcase Preceptorship programmes and the services you have to support nurses and midwives during this challenging and sometimes uncertain period of their careers.

Key objectives of the handbook

Codes of Practice

Adverts must align with the Advertising Standards Agency and their Codes of practice asa.org.uk and also the ABPI and ABHI Codes of Practice where required.

When advertising prescription only medications, the statement ‘Intended for Healthcare Professionals’ should be prominently visible and if there isn’t space for Prescribing Information (for example on a web advert) a direct link to the Prescribing Information should be given and it should be made clear where information is directed at the public and health professionals respectively.

Bookings

To secure an advert, advertisers must complete sign and return a booking form.

Provisional bookings can be held for an agreed amount of time; however no application will be considered valid until a signed booking form is received. The RCN reserves the right to refuse any bookings at any time without stating a reason. To ensure visibility of paid adverts, there may be some instances where the total number of advertisers are capped. Advertisers will be advised of this scenario prior to booking. A booking is only confirmed when accepted by the RCN in writing.
