Cross-Curricular and Interdisciplinary Education
We have the freedom to introduce cross-curricular
units, exposing students to the relationships
between disciplines and the importance of
they make connections in their own learning.
The AC Community
Throughout the year, students in all divisions
(N-12) connect with one another, forging
meaningful relationships among our youngest
and oldest students. Community-building traditions
include daily family-style lunch, Rendezvous,
Blue/White Day, and more.
iPads for Insight Program
Middle School students receive their own iPad
for use through graduation. iPads are integrated
into coursework as early as nursery as part of
our focus on relevant skills for the future.
Student Publishing Center
Students have the opportunity to design, write,
and publish work in our literary publications
Wolf Pup Pages and
Muse, our award-winning N-12 literary magazine.
In addition, our Upper School Writing Center
helps students polish their pieces and strengthen
their writing skills.
College Advisory Program
Every Upper School student and family engages
directly and regularly with our dedicated full-time
college advisor, receiving expert guidance and
advice throughout the college application process.
Entrepreneurial Studies
In grades 3-5, students design a product,
project, or company. Students write a business
plan, set a budget, manage a balance sheet,
design the advertising, and showcase their
innovation at our annual Entrepreneur Day.
Students even interact with local business
owners as part of the process.
Spend an hour on the AC campus and you will see we do things differently here. Students learn to master content, but more
importantly they learn how to learn every step of the way. It’s the way school was meant to be. Imagine how our independent

Facts & Stats That CountNow well into its second century, Allendale Columbia is a leading independent co-ed college prep school for students in nursery through grade 12. Here, learning goes far beyond books and tests. We have the freedom to dig deeper so students can question more, discuss, debate, and question again. As a result, our students develop critical thinking skills and become effective problem solvers. Our faculty members use their independence and experience to connect knowledge to real life so our students can make more sense of the world–and their place in it. It all adds up to a different school of thought: high expectations and relevant experiences that prepare students to succeed in a global community.
