How does WhoCanFixMyCar.com work?

Drivers use a drop-down menu and free-text field to describe what

service is needed.

Garages are notified by text and email and respond

with pricing and comments.

Drivers pick a garage based on pricing, responses,

location and, most importantly, customer

feedback.

Garages win new customers, who are encouraged to leave reviews. Garages pay a small commission fee on successful

jobs and retain ALL the up-sell.

A few top tips for winning work

The most successful garages on Who Can Fix My Car have over £250k of work!• Here are a few pointers to help catch them up:

1. Be thorough! Tell the driver what you are going to do, the parts/labour split can

help. Emphasise your experience and anything else that might set you apart

from the competition.

2. Price fairly – you don’t need to be the cheapest but you need to be realistic and

don’t worry, quotes are never binding

3. Be fast! Drivers love responsive garages, reply in the first 2hrs and you

will be 4x more likely to win.

4. Be personal, but not over-familiar.

Drivers’ first names are displayed, we

recommend “Dear James…” etc

Messaging, calling and closing the deal!

• Once you have applied, drivers will probably message you to ask for more info (you will be emailed and texted if they do so keep a close eye out!)

• The driver’s phone no. is revealed after you submit your quote. We highly recommend you call – you could even book them in there and then!

1. To access the jobs you have applied for, go to ‘My Jobs’ and select the ‘Applied for’ tab. You

can then click on the jobs to view your application, messages etc. 3. VERY

IMPORTANT – once you have quoted via the system, you are able to follow up by

calling the customer directly – click here, to reveal

their mobile number

2. If you or the driver has sent a message (asking a question for example) they will appear here. To

reply, just type your response into the box and click ‘Send reply’. Remember to reply quickly

and to give a detailed response.

Finding extra work on Who Can Fix My Car• Our most successful garages win extra work further afield or outside of their core

business, and so can you!

• From your main login screen, you can click on ‘Find jobs’ to view all nationwide leads on a map view.

1. Use the drop-down menus to select the job type and/or

brands you want to view, and enter your town or postcode.

2. From here you can apply for jobs just as you would for a

regular ‘Job alert’ that came to you via email.

1. Quote and reply quickly! Many of our drivers just want to get their issue sorted fast, and top garages now respond within minutes. The same applies for customer messages and questions.

2. Be thorough! When you’re applying, don’t just give a price. Tell them what you’ll do, the labour/parts split, your experience, and anything else that will help drivers choose you.

3. Follow up with a phone call once you’ve applied, to make sure the driver has no extra questions, and to offer to agree a time there and then.

4. Make sure to ask for a review when returning the car to your customer. Lots of positive reviews will make it easier to win work in the future.
